Baker and the Jets

Weak. None have a poll voting on that specific question. We will never really know what the people want.

What poll?  The guys asked this: "would you rather the Bills draft Rosen or Mayfield?"

It's been discussed and responded to in countless threads started daily for the past month.....at least.  The people have spoken, and spoken, and spoken.....

FYI...

NFL's Path to the Draft guys (DJ, Brooks) just said that they're hearing strongly within the organizations that it's looking like Allen to the Browns at #1, and Chubb to the Giants at #2, leaving Darnold for the Jets.

If that's how it happens, then Browns #4, Broncos #5 or Colts #6 are much easier trade up options for the Bills if they want either Rosen or Mayfield.

He did so well with Johnny!

(In all fairness, I dont think Baker is as bad as Johnny, but had to point out the connection)

In fairness, I think by that 2nd year when McCown came aboard he might have already been past saving. Manziel has at least said josh brought some semblance or normality but the situation that 1st year prob pushed it beyond hope. Not that you were blaming McCown- just saying.

I definitely blame Manziel there.

My point isn't about "who" we take. No matter the QB picked, of course it's "their" guy, duh.. I was just stating whoever it is, I'm hoping he turns out to be a franchise guy, and not bridge type player

And of course, "their guy" lol. It's fair to point out as you say whoever is here is the one. But, if behind closed doors (and we may never know unless we get to two) I'd hope that there is one guy (whether they get him or not) that sticks out to them. Bc if so, id hope that is what spurs a move. Not simply needing a guy. I'd imagine true love works better than just simply being in a relationship bc you want a partner lol

Uh but they're so spaced out, B-B-B-Baker and the Jets
Oh but they're weird and they're wonderful
Oh Baker she's really keen

I didn't mean they are for sure getting the guy atop their draft board. But simply whoever they pick will be "their" guy, meaning they are tied to him as coach and GM because they drafted him. If he is a bust(selected in 1st rd), McBeane might go down with him. Or if he is a franchise guy, McBeane will get the credit for selecting him and their jobs are secured

Questions for you fellas....

(1) would you rather the Bills draft Rosen or Mayfield?

(2) would you rather the Jets draft Rosen or Mayfield?

I hope if the Bills get to #2 that they have a clear-cut decision as to who they think is the better QB.

Give me Rosen and I don’t care what any other team does, especially the Jets.

Why do I see you with just a Bills jersey on singing this into a hairbrush in front of your mirror, thinking "this would be epic on youtube."

Do not take out your cell phone. Do not record!

Baker just screams Jets.

I called it months ago..Mayfield and Allen are fits in the northeast.Barkley is most likely to be the bust in the draft class..I can't erase his horrible play in the bowl game from my mind..he was horrible.

All things considered, there's a REAL possibility that Mayfield can't make it in the NFL... I like where we sit with Mc"Cannon'"... I really think he's been hanging around all this time waiting for someone to trip his wire... Hopefully we invest in some help for AJ with our draft capital.

I'm praying Rosen and Mayfield end up rivals. Hopefully both are good QB's. So much fun, and well hopefully one is on the Bills.

That would be great. Honestly Mayfield and Rosen are the two QBs i want us to draft over all.

If we take one and the Jets take the other it would be like a new Kelly vs Marino rivalry.

Same. The thought of him in the division makes me ill

There is a cultural connection between the Namath-seeking Jets and Baker I can't see avoiding. He is "back page", all day long in a city that is dominated by newspapers like no other.

Possibly Rosen - simply because NYC has "more Jews than Tel Aviv" (that used to be so, I don't know if it is - but PR is more important in NYC. And he'll be good there.

While that guy was way overboard, the truth is that Beane better get this right with whatever plan he has, because the Jets definitely outmaneuvered us, and if we come out of this without a solid QB, and the Jets do? Then there is some blame to lay at our GMs feet. People will give him a free pass and say it was impossible to beat the Jets to the punch but it really wasn't.

I'll just reiterate now what I said then: There is absolutely NO WAY that the Colts accepted the Jets deal without giving Buffalo a chance to beat the offer first. If Beane declined, it means he was not "beat to the punch" or "out-maneuvered". It simply means he didn't want to pay whatever cost the Colts were asking for.

But more importantly, I refuse to say one word about Beane good OR bad with regard to the draft until he...ya know...PARTICIPATES in a draft!
