NFL's Path to the Draft guys (DJ, Brooks) just said that they're hearing strongly within the organizations that it's looking like Allen to the Browns at #1, and Chubb to the Giants at #2, leaving Darnold for the Jets. If that's how it happens, then Browns #4, Broncos #5 or Colts #6 are much easier trade up options for the Bills if they want either Rosen or Mayfield. But simply whoever they pick will be "their" guy, meaning they are tied to him as coach and GM because they drafted him. If he is a bust(selected in 1st rd), McBeane might go down with him. I'll just reiterate now what I said then: There is absolutely NO WAY that the Colts accepted the Jets deal without giving Buffalo a chance to beat the offer first. If Beane declined, it means he was not "beat to the punch" or "out-maneuvered". It simply means he didn't want to pay whatever cost the Colts were asking for. But more importantly, I refuse to say one word about Beane good OR bad with regard to the draft until he...ya know...PARTICIPATES in a draft!
