Victory Formation
He was gushing over playing with Kyle Williams, I think playing with Kyle is going to elevate his game. I expect big things out of Star, I'm glad we got him.

3rdand12
4 hours ago, Chuck Wagon said: I didn't say "get sacks". Quick pressure up the middle forces the QB to get rid of the ball quickly. A lot of offenses are predicated on timing and getting the ball out. Penetration up the middle through DT is how you knock that timing off. You don't build a defensive line in 2018 by putting two block eating "run stoppers" together at DT, bottom line. yes you do Just have them put their hands off and shut down the middle of the field when after they push the pocket back 3 yards. Simple. NTs who eat/ smother two Lineman, certainly could push a pocket in one on ones. I love these guys. Hampton and Jenkins are fine historical examples. Bills have very little cap wiggle room and are waiting to see who lese they sign. Likely agreed to terms on two different contracts with Star's reps. And will choose one depending on how much cap room they need. We will know it within a day or two, if not today itself.

3rdand12
for those that were hoping for an AJ type deal.? Bills think he is a great fit for the vision that McDermott has. And showed that with the contract. I am cool with it. Finish the Puzzle with some serious LB upgrades Beane
BuffaloBillyG
Sticker shock is there, but if you look deeper there are a lot of low cost outs for the Bills. If he plays up to the contract he will make some big bucks. If he doesn't he will be gone in 2 seasons with little penalty to the Bills. I like it.

26CornerBlitz
The Bills clearly structured Star Lotulelei's deal to take advantage of their more advantageous salary-cap situation in 2019. His salary-cap number is a manageable $6.7 million in 2018 before ballooning to $11.5 million in 2019. He then counts $10.1 million in 2020, $10.85 million in 2021 and $10.85 million in 2022. HappyDays
It's a couple million more per year than I would have paid but I'm not gonna complain about $2 million. He's still cheaper than Dareus and will be worth a lot more to the team.
Captain Murica
I’m fine with the structure. For the next few years our QB contracts will be cheap, so to boost our run defense that struggled a lot last season it’s worth it.

Victory Formation
Beats the hell out of some of these 100 million dollar contracts these other DTs are getting. I think he is going to be a good player for us. Hopefully the incentive laden deal lights a fire under his ass and to be honest, the salary cap is going to continue to rise, he won't really be getting paid that much in comparison to some of the upper echelon elite guys in a few years. It's a fair contract, if he doesn't quite live up to it, we can always restructure the deal slightly.
