I've lived in Phoenix for 19 years and i've rarely heard anyone bring up the weather in buffalo or anything else about buffalo. the only reason they would is because they know that's where I'm from and know I still have family there. Do you think people really sit around and talk about buffalo? Nobody really cares, I don't think people talk about other cities either, it's not important. Some buffalonians are so caught up in themselves that they think others are too. They're not.
