ExWNYer
I heard a rumor that the 'Burning Bag of Dog Poo' is the newest item on his restaurant's menu. Jamie Nails
The only solace tonight was when they lost the feed and had to switch to the Buffalo call. Those who complain about Tasker shouldn't throw stones.

QCity
Joe Theismann's family had always pronounced their last name "THEES-man." Joe changed it to "THIGHS-man" at Notre Dame because he wanted it to rhyme with "Heisman." He ultimately lost the Heisman to Plunkett

White Linen
Theisman was terrible so I was able to switch to the Bills broadcast on the NFL pass. Damn Murphy even though he's our guy is just for me, exhausting to listen to. I thought about switching back.

Fadingpain
Doesn't everyone remember him from the ESPN Sunday night days when Monday Night Football on ABC was still the big game of the week? He was terrible then too. His dad was Austrian. His name should be pronounced to rhyme with Heisman. The "H" should be silent. Should be "TIES-MANN" sort of. Kelly the Dog
I have yet to meet the human being who thinks Joe Theisman is even a decent announcer. Estimating how many people I have watched games with over the years who have actually commented on Joe Theisman's prowess as an NFL announcer, I think it is approximately 7,482 to 0. I caught that and Clinton Portis needs to leave that sideline job alone. This is how it sounded. Theisman: Let's check in with Clinton Portis on the sidelines. Clinton what do you have for us? Norwood for Wall of Fame
Tyrod Smith? Really?! Tyrod Smith has a receiver named Sammy Watson. Oh, and Smith needs to learn to move around and not stand still in the pocket.

I heard him mention Cardale a lot when EJ was starting and Jones wasn't even suited up. He also kept on thinking Lorenzo Neal was out of retirement. judman
He was dumping on Doug Flutie's son once during a game Doug was playing in (the boy was seated with Doug's wife in a crowd shot). Doug's son has autism... Paul McGuire stepped on Joe's line of commentary and told the audience about their son, and what the Fluties do for kids with autism. Joe awkwardly tried to cover his tracks and did a poor job of it. Edited August 27, 2016 by judman

Marv's Neighbor
That coverage last night was just B-A-D bad. That's a player who should have moved on after playing. I was praying for Lawrence Taylor to storm the broadcast booth. Pretty inexcusable in the age of the wireless tablet where it takes seconds to go to the Bills website, bring up the roster, and sort it by number, isn't it? I grant he'd have had to go a bit further, like finding a pre-season depth chart or a roster from last year, to see that when he was puckering up and extolling Cousins, Cousins and the 1st string Redskins O were playing against B'lo bubble-guys and 2nd or 3rd stringers. Blokestradamus
Folks that gripe about Collinsworth/Michaels should have to watch theisman and tasker for a whole season... For the Giants game, I tried Murphy & Kelso. Kelso sounds like a smart, informed guy. Especially as I was trying to write at the same time, his commentary was informative enough that I missed nothing. I respect people that do their homework. I adore Verne Lundquist doing SEC games. Joey Galloway is a really fun CFB broadcaster to listen to. The good ones are rare but they're appreciated.

John from Riverside
OK im calmed down now He is still horrible The worst part of his commenatary is it leaves you wondering if he even knew that the Redskins team was basically not playing the real Buffalo team.....even our starting players were backups. Instead of praising every redskin player like they were all pros he really should have been upset that guys like Kurt Cousins had 20 yards passing till we were down to 90 percent guys that are not gonna make the team. Ugh
