Recently? He's been talking us up all offseason. Maybe last year?

I didn't mean this month, I meant in the last year or two he made a projection or prediction and was considered an idiot. Either anti-us or pro-pats maybe?

Keep in mind that he's making this pick with Cassel as the Bills' QB. If Cassel plays close to the Pro Bowl form that he showed when he led the Pats to a 11-5 season then watch out.

The Bills have McCoy - difference-maker. They have Watkins - a year older & wiser & a difference-maker. They have Harvin - difference-maker. They have Clay - difference-maker.

But beyond all of that they have two really good coaches, Roman on offense and Ryan calling the shots on defense.

Ryan knows how to Belichick. He's one of the very few who can match wits with him and he has the players on defense this year to get it done.

Roman can take an average to slightly above average QB and make him look better than he is because he spends a lot of time and energy disguising what he's trying to do on offense and keeping things simple for his QB. He made Alex Smith look like a star QB after he was left for dead. He also made C. Kaeperneck look like a stud and I happen to think that Buddy Nix fell in love with manuel as a prospect because of what he saw how Kaeperneck played as a young QB.

Ryan vs Marrone - It's not even close. Marrone gave us nothing special as an offensive specialist and was way too conservative as a HC. he was overmatched vs Belichick.

Roman vs Hackett - again, not even close. Hackett was a neophyte at the NFL level. I loved his enthusiasm, but he was just feeling his way through games. He had no real insight, no real experience to draw from to help guide many of the younger players.

Ryan/Roman have a solid, proven philosophy that works in the NFL. In short, they know what works in specific situations.

If we get capable QB play I think 12-4 is very realistic for the reasons mentioned above.

The bills obviously never got very much hype. And I didn't really mind. Especially because we have been a mediocre team the last 15 years. Now that we are getting the hype, I hope this doesn't get to the players heads and we go out and lay an egg like the Eagles "dream team." But with the leadership we have in fast Freddy, Kyle and wood I think we should have a shot.

The most surprising thing in this thread isnt the Evans prediction.

IMO, it's that we've made it to the 2nd page and none of us fans have crapped all over his prediction and called for another 6-10 season. Things must be really turning around at OBD! :D:thumbsup:

Two Bills Drive for you.

Analyst says something negative and he is an idiot and doesn't know what he is talking about. Same analyst says something positive and all of sudden he knows something about football and his analysis means something.

Predictions at this stage mean very little as has been pointed out.... however, if I give the Bills a 2-0 start (and that is a huge IF) then 9-0 becomes a strong possibility for me. Everyone is talking about a tough start but there is optimism abound, new owners willing to spend, a new coaching staff who has had some success in the league before and improved talent on the roster. The Ralph will be rocking on opening day and if the Bills bully Andrew Luck and Colts into submission and follow it up with a statement win over New England..... well can you imagine the belief that will be running through that locker room? It would be so pumped up in there it is untrue. At that point it would take a very good team to stop us. I am thinking similar to the start the Chiefs had under Andy Reid two years ago.

Nice to hear but it means the same as the 5-11 prediction.

No doubt. Except we've all heard the "5-11" type predictions for the last decade. When's the last time you heard a 12-4 and winning the division?

Sure they dont mean anything when it comes to the actual season, but it seems we're well past the days of all the analysts scoffing at how this organization is run.

sounds like Heath has been drinking the kool-aid. tell him to sign up at TBD and he will fit right in.

my personal motto is "never trust someone that doesn't have a neck." i mean his head sits right on top of his shoulders. i just don't trust the situation...

Surprised...There is no greater Patsie lover than Evans...

Interesting... B-)

When he and McGinest team up........PAIN!

That 9-0 start is ridiculous.

Ridiculous, but possible!! Man, what a ride that would be. :w00t:

Imagine that.

Then....

As he said, we lose those 3 in a row and this place gets wrecked.

I was just about to. :)

For us to go 12-4 our QB must be decent to good.I don't expect this.

I think 10-6 is a more realistic prediction led by our running game and defense.

If we go 12-4 the QB will have been very good.

We're not getting to 10-6 without good QB play.......IMO

Welcome to the internet in 2015. Someone says something you agree with and they are a genius. Someone says something you disagree with and they should kill themselves to rid the world of their stupidity.

Unrealistic would be a better term. Obviously it would be awesome, but I still gotta see this team play and see who our QB is before I would even predict such a feet.
