The Jokeman Posted January 30 Share Posted January 30 If Booker lives up to his 6'6" measurement he could be on our short list for day 3 as we seem to like guys with length although he might need to gain some weight to give him the flexibility to play inside/outside for us. It's the first major salve on the "didn't win a Lombardi and now the season's over" wound for the year. Other two were overthrows. He didn't look particularly explosive; he was able to get a step on the DB but wasn't really able to stack him. One of the overthrows I feel like he maybe should have been able to get to but was too busy trying to hold the DB and just didn't run hard enough. I don't think there's really a comparison between Legette and DK though. DK was an absolute god in terms of beating press coverage in college; the whole projection with him was the idea that you couldn't jam him at the line but also couldn't keep up with him if you gave him a free release. Legette struggles with press coverage and just isn't as explosive as DK. He's more Kenny Britt than DK IMO. Could still be good but I just don't think DK is the right comparison. If he is going to be a “low floor high ceiling type” though … this is one year to count me out … Bring in the WR equivalent of Torrence … someone who may not be the most athletic freak at the position you have seen but can contribute and do a job as soon as he gets on the team …. Just bring in a guy that can run down the field and catch the ball….no one else seemingly could do that on the team the second half of the 2023 season .. Looks a tad better now.... I liked Rice too in the 2-3 round range. Decent size and weight, plus his SMU jersey made it very easy to see him as a Bill lol. KC made a good trade admittedly. Still has some growing to do but for a rookie he played very well. It's a pretty easy position to fill with a small amount of effort. I'm good with Shakir manning that spot for the next two years, then rinse and repeat on day 3 of the draft.
