Between the HC, record, salary cap situation, and now this, this organization is a huge mess.

Not sure why you are being downvoted. This organization IS a mess right now.

We have McD telling Diggs to go home from camp in the offseason, one of the worst cap situations in the league, one of the oldest rosters in the league, a secondary receiving option that is primarily a blocker, and out of 44 draft picks we have only garnered 1 great player.

That's a mess.

Oh and we have a top 3 NFL QB. That alone should be a ticket to perennial playoffs. Somehow we have screwed that up.

DALLAS — Star NFL linebacker Von Miller faces an arrest in a domestic violence case in Dallas, multiple police sources told WFAA on Thursday morning.

Sources say Miller's longtime girlfriend has accused him of assaulting her at their home in Dallas on Wednesday morning. Sources told WFAA that his attorney has been contacted about the case and that a warrant has been issued for Miller's arrest.

As of 9 a.m. Thursday, Miller, 34, had not been arrested.

Sources told WFAA that the warrant was for a charge of assaulting a pregnant person, which is a third-degree felony.

WFAA reached out to the office of the attorney who is believed to be representing Miller, but the attorney was not immediately available for comment. WFAA has also reached out to a Dallas Police Department spokesperson for more information about the case.

Miller, a DeSoto native, is currently a linebacker for the Buffalo Bills, who are on a bye and not playing this week.

Miller previously played for the Los Angeles Rams in 2021 and for the Denver Broncos from 2011-2021.

Miller was a star in Denver, where he earned three first-team All-Pro selections and led the Broncos to a Super Bowl victory in 2015. Miller was traded to the Rams during the 2021 season and helped Los Angeles to a Super Bowl victory that season.

Miller played college football at Texas A&M.

In 2021, Miller was under investigation by the Parker, Colo., police department, but the 18th Judicial District, the district attorney's office for the city, declined to move forward with charges against Miller. Details surrounding the investigation were not disclosed by authorities, and Miller remained on the Broncos team for that upcoming season.

This dude has a clean record all his career. He comes to the Bills and gets accused of sending nude pics of his ex girlfriend out to other people and now has an arrest warrant out for domestic violence? The way he is playing, it's almost as if he wants out. He gets paid either way. This guy has been nothing been a waste since he signed here

Any chance something like this voids part of his contract? Would be nice to get a discount on him if he's gonna be on the books for 3 yrs.

Yes, that's entirely possible; how that voiding would impact the salary cap, I don't know.

I'm sure it's quite complicated.  We have to see how this plays out.  Bills could have a very useful way to get out from his HUGE MISTAKE OF A CONTRACT with this, and that could be huge going forward with our pending cap crisis.

Sadly, this was the first thing that came to my mind too.

Von Miller was always a high risk/high reward signing.  Can't blame Brandon Beane for taking the shot.

It was really working out before the ACL tear.  Hard to see a guy at his age coming back the same.

Yes you absolutely can blame Brandon beane for signing a 32 year old defensive lineman to a 6 yr. $114MM contract . He was coming off a major injury just a year prior. It was a terrible signing.

Thats highly highly doubtful.  Bills are on the hook for a ton of it

Having seen professional player contracts, I disagree.

Could easily be a "good conduct" clause in there; not sure what a typical NFL K looks like in 2023.

No you don't.

The players are gone on the bye week. They go on vacation.

Kelce was in Buenos Aires on the Chiefs bye week, for example.

Some players may choose to stay, but they dont have.

A 6-6 team fighting for its life should be practicing.

He played well before the Thanksgiving ACL injury.

He sacked Mahomes near the end of the October win in KC - exactly what he was brought here to do.

Aside from this ugly situation, his level of play was not an issue before the injury.

It was designed to get out of after 3 years and I understand why he made the signing. Clearly, we needed pass rush help. So, yes while he can be blamed. It should also be understood the reason he made the move in the first place

that's what i hope. i never understand why players can do this and often times still get paid.

i really want to call the afternoon people on WGR who went full bore against Araiza and ask if they will go as hard on this or risk looking like the clowns they are beause they were 100% wrong on the punt god.

I dont think they can practice during the bye due to the CBA. It's an off week, guys take time off. Some go on vacation, some stay in town for treatment & workouts

I left this place for only 2 hours.

🙄

What's next, Gabe Davis is diagnosed with Route Dyslexia and Diggs announces his new gender identification is "non-football"?*

(*  Which it is 2023 and I am fully supportive of those things that would make individuals feel comfortable and welcome in society...but I wouldn't be happy about this one.)

Not the way it works.  I suspect the CBA gives them the right to pretty much do what they want, other than assaulting pregnant women, during the bye week.

he hardly had a clean record. he was always like this but now it is coming out because he is not the level of player he was and the chickens ALWAYS come home to roost.

he's getting karma. it's why i never wanted him. he came with too much baggage that no one acknowledged or knew about because the media liked him.

he's always been a douche scumbag me first person.

To be honest, many fans of other teams raised an eyebrow at that contract a the time.

I tried to be positive about it, because we just got a stud pass rusher!

But to be honest, they were always right. JJ Watt retired at the same age that we gave Von Miller a $114M contract.

The cap situation isn’t great, but alot of it is due to bad decisions/bad breaks on the defensive side of the ball.

The Offense, for next year, actually looks phenomenal … especially if we upgrade WR2 via the Draft.

We can fix the cap situation by cutting Morse, Harty, Poyer, White and Johnson.

Bates can take over for Morse.

Harty, Poyer and White don’t really affect much of anything.

Johnson is a loss, and he’s still

very good .. but he’s been exposed a bit this year as well.

Will we do all that, maybe/probably not, but it’s an option.   By doing that, we can still try to priority re-sign Floyd, Jones & Epenesa to backloaded/void year deals beyond ‘25 when our cap outlook looks drastically different.

Miami and New York are both in cap hell also.

The Bengals aren’t there yet, but have an injury prone QB they’ve built around and an owner without the liquidity to really even buy them time to ever get into cap jail.  This off-season probably won’t be fun for them either.

KC is really the outlier, but even for them the Chris Jones decision is looming and Travis Kelce has already begun casually dropping the “R” word.   That team has been a 3 man squad for a while now … and 2 of them don’t seem like they are in the long term plans.

Any examples of this? not being a dick, honestly curious what his track record is.

There have always been rumors and rumblings of him being an entitled jerk to people. Nothing I can quote from an article or anything. I know he was investigated for something a couple of years ago that was dropped. And I know at least two women have claimed to be his baby mama, with one flat out calling him a deadbeat.

Edit. Point of note. Just because it's not on his Wikipedia or other sources doesn't mean there isn't something there. No one acknowledges drew brees having at least 1 child out of wedlock from cheating on his wife.

Rules say they can practice Mon-Wed and then get the rest of the week off. If Von is in DAL those days either he or the entire team did not practice.

Never thought I’d ever be nostalgic about the drought

There was a lot less stress involved (for us fans) for sure. Plus, by Thanksgiving you didn’t have to worry about Bills games interfering with holiday parties or other holiday events, because they just didn’t matter. 😉
