5-7, that’s about right. But we could move up with some wins over the next few weeks.

And Tenny moving down with a loss

Seattle was ranked higher than Buffalo and in another one the Ravens ?

Pro Football Talk – Mike Florio

No. 4. Bills (8-3): Ready or not, they're coming to prime time for three of their next four games.

New York Post – Peter Botte

No. 4. Buffalo Bills, 8-3:

I would put us behind KC, PIT, GB for sure, after that it's arguable.  NO with Brees is better, NO with Taysom Hill is not.  I would grudgingly put TEN ahead of us since they blasted us head to head.  So, Bill at #6 by my measure.

Yes. 6 is correct imo. We don't have the firepower on offense right now to be any higher then that.

With Brown, I like our chances against any team other than KC.

To me, head-to-head matters when records are close, so...

KC and TEN should be ahead of us in a power ranking.

and SEA, LAR, MIA, LV should be below

ARZ is fringe. They beat us, but on a last second Hail Mary, and we have a better record by 2 games. So, this is my one exception to the head-to-head. I'm putting BUF ahead of ARZ.

Then you have: PITT, NO, GB, TB, IND, and CLE in the mix.

PITT may be decided when we play them, but for now the Steelers get the bid for being undefeated. And I'm the same as others, NO with Brees is ahead, without Brees, below. GB has the same record, but they have been scoring more than us (and are only 1 point different in points given up), plus Aaron Rodgers. So, I'll put GB ahead. I think Tampa and Buf are close, they have also played a tough schedule and have lots of weapons. But I'll give Buf the edge because we have 1 more win and two fewer losses. I think we are ahead of Indy because of our QB, and I think we have more talent than them. And I'm still not buying Cleveland yet (plus Josh over Baker).

For all teams, I took into account head-to-head as much as possible, good wins (say against KC, NO, GB, etc.), team talent, QB, record, and strength of schedule.

So, my top 15 rankings would be:

KC (10-1)

PITT (10-0)

GB (8-3)

NO (w/Brees) (9-2)

TEN (8-3)

BUF (8-3)

TB (7-5)

SEA (8-3)

LAR (7-4)

MIA (7-4)

ARZ (6-5)

LVR (6-5)

BAL (6-4)

CLE (8-3)

IND (7-4)

It’s pretty cool that we’ve stayed in the top 10 consistently throughout the year.

I’m sure most of us remember the days where we’d crack the top 10 about a month to a month and a half into the season and then the bottom would fall out.

You made an exception to you own rule?  6-5 is damn close to 8-3 with 5 weeks left.

Pitt, NO, GB, KC, are the top 3. BUF then TEN and CLE, who play each other this week.   Go Cleveland.

(poor Cleveland is rated under teams with better records -like the Ravens with 2 more losses!? - and their schedule is all but done with the cream puff teams)

Tampa?  Why? Because Grandpa Brady?

Indy has a good record but IN division and conference they are 1-2 and 3-4 respectively.

Tenny - CLE, @JAX, DET, @GB, @HOU.  they can have 2 to 3 losses there.

He probably shouldn’t call it a rule but a guide. I don’t think 6-5 is that close to 8-3 especially when you consider the nature of the loss and the schedule down the stretch for the cards.

The remaining SOS (is kind of funny because of Division "rivalries")

Buffalo - .574 - Pitt 10-0 as THE threat followed by lesser threats of Mia, NE, Den, SF - THE only reason the SOS is high is because of Pitt

Pittsburgh - .546 - Ravens (today), Bills, Browns, Colts followed by lesser threats of Cincy and WFT.

Cleveland - .528 - Steelers, Tenny, Ravens followed by lesser threats of JETS and Giants.

Miami - .573 - KC, Buff, Vegas followed by lesser threats of NE** and the JETS.

Yikes those are all very close. Nobody has a cake walk but I’ll take the Bills schedule. My biggest concern is our prime time history. The Bills have traditionally fallen on their swords under the lights.

yes, they have in the past we’ll just have to get past our BBFS.

I have to believe they are better than those past teams.

Steelers aren’t that good.

 Carry on.

Was coming here to say the same thing - they are undefeated through 11 games so they deserve a high ranking, but I'm really looking forward to the beating the Bills put on them in a couple of weeks.  They have barely survived a Dallas team that's going nowhere and a team of essentially 3rd stringers in that Baltimore game today.  That being said, it shows that every team towards the top have played games that perhaps they could have won by more or didn't look at great and still won, so I'm very encouraged for these last several games and the playoffs

Can we just agree they’re the worst undefeated team ever?

In between the two games you mentioned, Pittsburgh beat Cincinnati by 16 in Jacksonville by 24, then had their schedule thrown off by covid. The picture of what Pittsburgh is is the fact that they've won 11 in a row and how hard that actually is to do. Where Buffalo catches a break is being the team that plays them the third and they are three games in 11-day stretch here.

what makes Pittsburgh very good and what makes them a team that shouldn't be ranked below too with Drew Brees out is the fact that they have won 11 in a row. In the 16 game season ERA, only 10 teams have started 11 and 0. Seven of them went to the Super Bowl.

I’ve been thinking that we’re going to beat the Steelers too.

I know it’s just Collinsworth but he said during the Steelers/Ravens game that the Bills/Steelers game could be one of the games of the year. He said that we’re playing out of our minds.

Again, I know it’s just him, but when’s the last time anyone said that about our Bills.

They are a very good team, but they are not unbeatable.  They usually don't blow teams out, and they have survived several late comeback attempts that just fell short(namely Tennessee and Baltimore's 1st game).  They have played close games against bad teams as well.

Are they an overall better team than the Bills? Probably a little bit, but it isn't a huge gap like it used to be with the Patriots versus every other team in the league where they used to blow out other really good teams by 20 or 25 points every game.

Bills have a very legit shot to win that game, and I wouldn't necessarily call it an upset either.  Especially with the Bills D rounding into form.  Steelers are not some high powered offense. They do OK some games but they also struggle to move the ball in others.

I don't what to make of those guys that have us at 4 since I don't think we have played to that level yet but I definitely think the next few weeks will show a lot

KC, New Orleans, and Pitt would seem to be the obvious top 3.

Whoever is at 4?  Really its a matter of personal choice or the flavor-of-the-week.  After the top 3, there probably are 6-7 teams that could be ranked anywhere from 4-10 and it wouldn't be unfair.

Buffalo, Tampa, Seattle, Green Bay, Tenn, maybe even still Balt and the Rams...all are in that 2nd tier.

Once you get past them, I think you go Indy, Cleveland, Miami, and Arizona...the Raiders barely hanging on to this group, then everyone else.

Oh I definitely agree that they are a good team - you don't get to 11-0 without being very good.  As I'm sure every fan base does, we have a tendency to overanalyze our own team and take the 10,000 ft view of all other teams.  I think the Bills match up very well with what they do.  The Bills let you get the underneath stuff and tackle very well (with the exception of Taron Johnson - that guy is terrible but that's a completely different topic).  As you could see yesterday, Baltimore gave them tons of underneath stuff but didn't let the receivers get many YAC.  If they had their full team, I think Baltimore wins that game.  Couple that with the idea that their defense does not match up well with our offense, especially now that Dupree is done for the year, and I do expect the Bills to win that game

Daniel Jones, Jeff driscal(one score game), Carson wentz, garret gilbert(need 4th quarter comeback), Burrow(rookie), Jake Lutton(rookie), Robert griffin/mcsorley....

those are the qb’s the Steelers have played in 7 of their 11 wins. They came into the week with statistically the weakest schedule in the NFL. Is it hard to see why somebody could be skeptical? With ANY OTHER schedule than the easiest in the league, that team wouldn’t be unbeaten.

steelers are very good. But their record deceives

You definitely have a point- I think FB and TN are better since one beat us but the argument could go in circles for all of them.

As usual ... the WaPo and its "Ho Hum" ?  attitude towards the Bills

https://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/2020/12/03/nfl-power-rankings-week-thirteen/

6. Seattle Seahawks (8-3) | Last week’s rank: 8

The defense is playing a bit better, although just about anyone can shut down Carson Wentz and the Eagles these days. The pass rush has improved greatly since Carlos Dunlap’s arrival. If that can be sustained and the running game can be reasonably productive to help Russell Wilson and those receivers, the Seahawks’ Super Bowl chances are as good as anyone’s in the NFC.

7. Buffalo Bills (8-3) | Last week’s rank: 9

The Bills returned from their bye week and rebounded from the pre-bye loss to the Cardinals with Sunday’s triumph over the Chargers. Few are paying much attention to the Bills. The Steelers and Chiefs clearly are the AFC’s leading powerhouses. But the Bills will be a tough out in the playoffs, no matter the opponent.

More snide

https://www.si.com/nfl/2020/12/01/power-rankings-week-13-chiefs-steelers-packers

7. Buffalo Bills (8–3)   Last week: Win vs. Los Angeles Chargers 27–17

The Bills’ season has been a wild rollercoaster, but it has also been a clear step forward. They may not be in the AFC’s top tier, but they are really talented and know how to keep things exciting. But they have a ceiling in the power rankings and for now it’s right around here.

People here say Tenny should be above Buffalo because of the H2H win.

In many of these rankings --- Seattle rated one or 2 spots higher than Buffalo?

Here -   https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/powerrankings/

Seattle is above the Bills  when -- Buffalo vs SEA Sun, Nov 8 The Bills get a 44-34.  10 Points.  a W by a 2 score margin.

Yet Tenny is one spot beneath the Bills
