Apologies if this has been asked/mentioned earlier in the thread, I had a look and couldn't see it...

Whilst the Titans Covid listed personnel havent been able to participate in team activities, have they been able to participate in virtual sessions with coaching staff to discuss gameplan/tactics etc. for the Bills game?

Thanks.

Yes, all virtual

When did facility open? Has that staff member been isolated already.... ? If so play the game!!!

The players and staff have been isolated for awhile. If this staff member hasn’t been around anyone that shouldn’t affect the game.

Unless he has been....

They just did a walkthrough yesterday, I would imagine most if not all of the coaching staff would have been there. Unless he/she was continuing to self isolate at home the whole team has been possibly exposed again.

The major problem with that is the #1 seed then would have to wait three weeks to play so the rust factor comes into play.

My thought if this gets out of control was the NFL should give everyone a bye on week 17 to make up any missed games and push week 17 to week 18.  That way the #1 seed will only have two weeks off between the regular season and the divisional playoff game.

Sure about that?

I'm not all concerned with the #1 seed resting.  I'm concerned that say the Bills Titans play week 17 while their opponent the following week in the playoffs has a bye.  That gives them a huge advantage.  I recall in the four SB years,  Bills had  a bye 3 of the 4 years which always was a big help.

IMO if the Bills were already in the playoff so are just playing Tenn for seeding, I'd rather forfeit the game than play while my opponent next week has a bye.  I'm sure the league would not allow that, but I'd then play all backups, maybe only play 9  guys on the field.  If Tenn was also in playoff contention I'd imagine they'd feel the same.

Maybe by then there will be a dozen or so makeups, that changes things then.  But I'd rather see the make ups between week  15 to 16 so this way everyone plays two games after that.  If there are any required makeups in the last two weeks, NFL reverts to plan ZZ!

No, NFL players don’t have the same right to health information privacy as the rest of us.  If that were true, there could never be an NFL injury report, so clearly there has been some HIPAA waiver somewhere along the line.  If teams can release information about a player’s progress in recovering from an injury, then why can’t they say if a player is sick from covid?  And a player showing some symptoms does not mean he is seriously ill.

I don’t want to go too far down this road, because the Board’s covid discussion rules are very unclear to me, but I was responding to a post about a player’s statement that the league’s covid policy is not really about player safety.  My point in response is that there seems to be no evidence that any players have become seriously ill from the virus ( as opposed to just showing symptoms). You certainly pointed out some facts that suggest it’s possible, but I still expect there would be reports in the media if that were the case, notwithstanding Vrabel’s comment about a “wide range of symptoms”, which could mean anything.

Big difference the NFL is only allowed to report football related injuries.  How often do you hear some player has some not football related thing and it's kept a big secret.  Recall it happening with one of the Bills lineman Henderson was it, turns out he had Crohns desease if I recall, for months no one knew what was going on.  Eventually it kind of leaked out or maybe Henderson announced it, don't recall exactly, but do know anything not football related is protected info.  Not sure where Covid falls, but there are many league limitiations

Players and coaches got together multiple times after the outbreak started, so no they haven't been isolated. If the virus spread at the off site workouts they could potentially go another week with more people testing positive.

NFL needs to move or cancel the game and punish the hell out of them, just get it over with already.

Just move on from this game, why should the Bills suffer for the Titans blatant disregard for what the NFL has put in place. Make them forfeit the game and hammer with a loss of draft picks!!! On to Kansas City.

This is turning into a big joke.  This team is going to infect the entire NFL if they allow them to play.  They need to be shut down and isolated (real isolation, not go out and practice when you think noone is looking isolation) until they all have a clean bill of health.

Yes. Can they prove these practices happened? If so... they should 100% make a big example out of them, especially if this coach was present at the unauthorized practices.

What is everyone doing with fantasy? I have several Bills’ players in my starting lineup. Very little on my bench.

I moved Diggs to my bench yesterday, reluctantly. I don’t trust this game will be played enough to chance it and my league has no contingencies for that situation
