If we are being honest, the offense wasn’t very good. There were some horrible drops, Allen was mediocre.

but....BUT...it doesn’t matter. They are 10-4, punched it in when they had to tonight, and are going to the playoffs, with 2 games left to play. I’m loving it!!

See I don't see it that way.  I don't care about style points.  When you're in the playoff hunt in December every game against other teams in the playoff hunt are dog fights.

Did the offense play well from start to finish?  No.  But that was because they were on the road playing one of the best defenses in the NFL.  But when they needed to play well they did.  That last TD drive was huge.  And Allen also came through when the game was on the line.

Last season this was one of if not the worst offenses in the NFL.  After a complete remake and the injection of 3 rookies into the starting lineup the offense is now middle of the pack.  That's real improvement.  There are some things they do real well and there are other things that need work.  But the direction is up and that's all we can ask for.

Killed us to 10-4 and clinching a playoff spot with 2 games to go

Hey if your happy with what you saw on the field tonight from the offense good for you. I’ll hold him to a higher standard so we don’t end up one and done in the playoffs. But you just go ahead and be happy with how this offense operates...

Mess? - No.  Lack Consistency - Yes.   Brown and Beasley are cast offs, yet are having the best years of their careers.  Singletary is having a solid rookie campaign,  and our O-line is still missing some key pieces in my opinion.  Like many have said here earlier, we are ahead of schedule, 10-4, and clinched a playoff birth with two games still remaining.  This year has been a success undoubtedly.

This is the best our offense will probably be this season. With our defense, we are still a formidable playoff team. This offseason we focus on the offense. WR , RB, OL

This team has zero chance of beating the Pats or their playoff opponent if they have the showing they displayed tonight.  Absolute dumb play calls, dumb player decision making, and situational awareness.  We are beyond lucky to beat a 3rd string QB that had 4 picks.

I think you've kind of got it backwards.  We picked the 3rd string QB 4 times, That's why we beat them.

The picks were plays that had worked for him before.  We saw them on film.

The players made great decisions and had great situational awareness to make those picks.

Joe B was busy before the game predicting a loss and claiming that the Steelers have the best defense in the league, a "Superbowl caliber defense"

I dunno about that, but they are very very good.

We beat a playoff-caliber defense, amped up on their home field

You are sad.

Are you  happy with mediocracy, I super happy with the win. But if we can’t generate more offense, sustain drives at the end of games when we need to run out the clock , be smarter with our possessions? Were not going deep , if all your happy with is making the playoffs then good for you, I want a deep run , apparently your happy with just making it there...

Yeah. I just feel that we look dangerous one moment and incompetent and underprepared the next.

I think that goes with being young and having some players who have to give it their best to succeed.  It results in inconsistancy.

I hated the clock management and that's on the coaches

Agree we need more offense. But I honestly thought it was part of the game plan this week. Keep it simple. Avoid mistakes and let Our defense beat their offense.

the plan worked.

I could not believe the penalty called on Tremaine Edmunds for a facemask.  What on earth was the referee thinking?   Tremaine's hands were nowhere near the Pittsburgh player's facemask.  I hope the league gets a good look at that and calls the official on the carpet for it.  Fortunately, the Pittsburgh fumble meant the blown call did not become a factor in the game, but it certainly could have.

Yes we got by, maybe I’m just used to the past where we would always lose these type of games, but it didn’t need to be this close and go down this way.

*180. But yeah, the McBeane regime is definitely night and day different than the Rex/Whaley regime.

He said he thought it was a party under Rex. You can see that this kid has really bought in. I’m hoping he gets a contract, and I have to believe he will.

R-E-L-A-X

We all want a better offense. And their's no reason to think they won't be better next year. But this is year two of a complete overhaul of the offense. Year two for a young QB that was a big project coming out of the draft. This team is way ahead of schedule and that includes the young QB.

he got one.  Their picks were Allen, Brown and White.

That's great.  Brown grabbing the fumble and defensing a possible INT were the heads-up plays of the game, plus his pass receptions

Allen I have mixed feelings about.  But he did make some clutch runs and hang on to the ball in the face of abuse by Watt.  He took some hits - some of them totally unnecessary on a play that should have been blown dead and roughing called if they persisted.  And, he did make some "big boy" throws.

Phillips deserves one I think.

Ooh typing fast on the phone and you sit there and grade people on grammar, you must be a treat at parties, didn’t realize this was a English class. You go ahead and be happy with just making the playoffs, I want a super bowl. Good for you and your low expectations....

Just got a warning for saying someone was pathetic, this isn’t worth it... I expect more from this offense cause I would like to go to the super bowl not just make the playoffs. I’m going to bed....

Good night.  I hope you dream of Payton  Manning and Drew Brees throwing touchdowns all night long.

Not even about that. You want to be critical, fine. Don't piss in everyone's Cheerios after a playoff clinching win against a good defense.

I concur.  Zing is to get their attention.  Enjoy this instead of being a downer.

Our defense has holes in it.  We have zero edge pressure from the edge and our #2 CB can’t tackle to save his life.  Other than that they are great.  If we get a decent DE opposite of Hughes we will be dangerous

Reconsider your membership here. It’s acceptable to be discouraged by poor play and letting victories slip away. It’s a glaring ugliness to create false narratives just to stand out.

Reconsider your membership, or I will.
