Da webster guy
Peko has been with us all year through camp and Taylor was a surprise cut we added to the practice squad a few weeks ago from Miami who played pretty well for them the past few years but had injuries both years. My Dolphins fan buddy said he was impactful and stout in the middle but apparently not a scheme fit for Flores in Miami. Last time we played the Pats (minus Milano) they shredded us for almost 300 rushing yards. We only have Star, Ed and Jordan Philips in the middle so obviously someone needs to fill in for Harry. They wouldn't activate both dudes would they? . Edited September 24, 2019 by Da webster guy

atlbillsfan1975
Sounds like Taylor is more of a DT 1 gap player. He is best at gap penetration. Miami was wanting him to play over the guard and eat up linemen. He is 6’3 310 pounds which is almost exactly what Harry is. Could be a very similar player to Harrison if healthy. LABILLBACKER
Taylor is bigger and more polished than Peko. He'd be the one I'd bring up to rotate with Shaq.

CSBill
I go with Taylor. This: https://www.pff.com/news/pro-10-record-breaking-rookies-from-the-2017-nfl-season 8. Vincent Taylor, DI, Miami Dolphins PFF Era Record Broken: Highest run-stop percentage recorded by a rookie defensive tackle The former Oklahoma State Cowboy was taken in the sixth round of the NFL draft and was a real difference-maker for the Dolphins defense when he saw the field. Throughout the campaign, Taylor produced 12 run stops on just 89 run-defense snaps, resulting in a run-stop percentage of 13.5 percent, the best mark ever recorded by a defensive tackle. 3 1

CLTbills
I trust Coach McDermott and Beane to make the right call here. I'm not worried in the least about which one they pick.
TigerJ
My guess would be Taylor, based on the role he'll be asked to fill. Peko is even smaller than Harrison Phillips for the one tech spot. Though somewhat bigger, Taylor was not exactly known for having a solid base coming out of college. Hopefully, that has improved after a couple years in pro football. badassgixxer05
Could also sign a free agent. Looks like Mike Pennel is still out there. Has some years with GB and Jets. Also spent time with Pats for this training camp. Hes a big boy though, so not sure how he fits into our D as he is def just a space clogger at 6'4" 330lbs. http://www.nfl.com/player/mikepennel/2550242/profile
MR8
If it were me, I would activate both and cut Ike Boettger... they are going to need rotation on the line for the Pats anyways, and Phillips was playing outstanding in both penetration and gap filling. Add both guys to the active roster and start a 5 man rotation rather than a 4 man rotation using Taylor and Peko situtationally based on their strengths. When you have a gluttony of skill like we had coming in with Star, Phillips, Phillips and Oliver you can have just 4 DTs, but when you're trying to figure out your situation because of injury IMHO you're better off having more bodies and giving both guys a shot rather than just 1. If they are doing this, since we would need to cut someone, I would promote one in Harry's spot since he's going to IR, but I would wait until Thursday or Friday to promote the other one and make the corresponding roster move to cut someone. That will severely limit the Pats ability to sign the guy we cut and pump him for information.

I don’t think they can get rid of an Olineman right now with Feliciano hurt and Ty getting banged up weekly. You need the Oline depth and you should be ok activating either of the guys on the Dline to fill in for Harry.

You need the Oline depth and you should be ok activating either of the guys on the Dline to fill in for Harry. They have plenty of O-Line.... Dawkins - Spain - Morse - Feliciano - Ty McDermott - Long - Bates - Boettger - Ford If you cut Boettger you still have McDermott (OT) Ford (OT/OG), Long (OG/C), and Bates (OT/OG/C)... more than enough depth with guys who can all play multiple positions. If Feliciano can't go, you start Ford at RG and Ty at RT (which they should do anyways). You still have Long and Bates active as your interior backups and McDermott as your backup OT. If Ty then goes down you'd rotate over Ford to RT, and kick Long in at OG. For rotation or disaster situation you still have Bates and McDermott to rotate in for the interior and edges of the line. That's how they will do it regardless of if Boettger is on the team, the guy hasn't been active for 3 weeks. The Bills are an anomaly having this many linemen, most teams carry 8, we care carrying 9. Da webster guy
If Ty goes down we are going to have an issue. Any scenario that puts Ford at RT is scary. He's simply not experienced enough nor is his technique anywhere near where it needs to be to handle edge rushers.
LABILLBACKER
Let's not overthink this. Leave the Oline alone and promote Vincent.

I also think they are carrying so many as potential trade bait later in the season. Linemen are always going down and teams get needy. These guys are 3rd string for the Bills but could be seen as 2nd string or starters on other teams if the need arises.

It’s too bad Suh ended up signing this year. Would have love to bring him in. The good thing about a DT is you can always try to trade for one too. It isn’t like they need to learn an overly complication position with a whole host of specific plays.

I would have considered him, too. The thing is if we were to trade for anyone before the deadline I would like it to be a WR.
