Gugny
Everyone loves a good life hack. Share them here. Earlier tonight, I realized I had no buttermilk to make my chicken tenders. 1 TBSP of white vinegar in a measuring cup, then added enough milk to make 1 full cup. Let it set for 10 minutes .... BOOM ... buttermilk. What life hacks can you share?

sherpa
Inkjet printer replacement cartridges. Insanely overpriced to the point where some printer manufacturers lose money on the printer because they know they'll make a bunch on the replacement cartridges. If one gets "low" and low isn't really that low, the printer becomes dysfunctional until all are replaced. Not difficult at all to get around the issue, depending on the type of printer. Easy to find solution at a fraction of the cost.
Gugny
If I'm planning on making a pizza, I get as many toppings at the salad bar as possible. This way, I only get as much as I need and I spend a fraction of what I'd spend if I bought entire packages/containers of certain items.

In some cases it might be the exact same product, in others it could be the 'bottom of the barrel/vat' or stuff that for some reason doesnt meet their product standard but is still good for consumption, instead of just throwing it out, its packaged as a no name/store brand product and sold for less.

I believe his point is that no camera or person is ever going to notice that your bag of red, yellow, and green apples are the $4.67 per pound variety and not the more or less identical looking apples priced at $1.37 per pound. If you want to be even more clever, get 6 big apples in a bag. Make sure 5 of them are the expensive kind, and 1 is the cheap kind. When go to scan the bag of apples, take out the cheap apple and scan the bar code sticker on the apple. The machine will read whatever cheap kind it is, and then ask you to weigh the bag. You do so and then get a bag of expensive apples for the price of a bag of cheap apples. Any camera or observer would only see that you very correctly put a bag of apples on the scanner, scanned one of the apples in the bag, were charged for apples, and that you put apples in your cart. There's nothing to "catch" or notice". You'd have to somehow see the code being scanned, and then visually see the apples in the bag, and think "those don't look quite like Fujis, I think those are more Honey crisps, let me investigate this"... That ain't going to happen.
