Work it out Beane !!
I enjoy Bills meeting so many young prospects that might be fringe players but too soon to tell.
getting to know them works for everyone involved.
Glad McBeanes have faith in their scouting process and scouts as well.
Goes a long ways to longer visioned Team building.

interest me that they are looking over some QBs.
Fun to pay attention to for me !

Thanks for the updates 26 : )

Yes. This is what’s behind this signing. We’re terrible in both the Punt & KO Return game -and have been 2 seasons going. IF we can find a ‘Roscoe Parrish’ stashed on some teams’ PS, it’s one less off season need.

I am leary of little return guys though. They're the easiest to strip the ball away from..

Now you funny too.

Everybody funny!

I like Pharoh Cooper.  He was a star at U. of South Carolina.  I did some grad school at USC and follow them.  Our full back went there too.  It would be a good pickup.  He didn't play much for the Rams due to injury.  Somebody will snag him.  Why not the Bills?

Made the pro bowl last year as a special teamer as well. I would sign him in a heartbeat our ST sucks. bad.

The fact that the Bills are working out QBs tells me Anderson is retiring after this season (who can blame him?).

Next year, Barkley will back up Allen and be the mentor/sounding board, while a younger developmental prospect of some sort will be brought in for training camp.

REPORT: Bills Workout Eight Players on Tuesday

USATSI_11125070.jpg?itok=YzjgHsTc&c=f9d6

The Buffalo Bills worked out a handful of players on Tuesday afternoon.  Numerous different sources via Twitter helped piece together the puzzle, as the list kept growing larger.

Three quarterbacks were checked out by the Bills in Garrett Gilbert, Logan Woodside and Bo Levi Mitchell.

Gilbert, who last suited up this preseason with the Carolina Panthers, is the son of former NFL quarterback Gale Gilbert, who spent two seasons in Buffalo in 1990 and 1993.

Woodside was a 7th-round draft choice of the Cincinnati Bengals this past April, while Mitchell lines up under center for the Calgary Stampeders in the Canadian Football League.  Mitchell went undrafted during his draft year back in 2012, and has been in the CFL ever since.

A pair of tight ends also worked out at One Bills Drive.  One was Evan Baylis, who last played in 2017 for the Houston Texans.  The other was Erik Swoope, who was last in game action on December 9th of this year with the Indianapolis Colts.  Swoope caught a touchdown pass back on October 21st in the Colt's 37-5 win over the Bills.

As for the wide receivers, they both came from the CFL. Diontae Spencer currently plays for the Ottawa Redblacks.  He is also a return specialist for Ottawa.  Spencer was previously a member of the St. Louis Rams in 2014.  D'haquille Williams is a 25-year-old receiver for the Edmonton Eskimos.  Williams was at one time a Ram as well (2016) and played his college ball at Auburn.

Rounding out the list was outside linebacker Cory James, a former Oakland Raider who played 26 career games in the NFL between the 2016 and 2017 seasons.  Notably, he suited up for all 16 contests for the Raiders in 2016.

Stumped. Dropping Derek maybe?

I would think if Derek did not get some screws actually loosened with that concussion ? he is headed for and assistant's job. QB perhaps.
Barkley is the unknown for me. But no way he is gone this season and i would not be surprised if he made it through camp next season

What is the return average of the other guys we have used?

Do you think it might be that they just suck overall?

The only guy with any sample size is Murphy at 13 attempts for 24.9 yard average. I.e 5 yards better than McKenzie.

But  in any event, the sample size is too small for either of them (McKenzie or Murphy) to draw many conclusions.

I think it's possible the ST aren't good this year AND McKenzie isn't a natural kickoff returner. I was basing my opinion off the eye test more so than stats, which I had to look up later and only happen to back up my statement in some small way. If you think he looks like the reincarnation of Billy White Shoes Johnson then good for you.

BTW - I like him alright as a receiver.

Ex Gamecocks suck Cooper, Dimarco,Gilmore shall I name more? As a matter of fact the whole Gamecock football program s never won squat....But now you ll tell me how great they were under Spurrier? Theyve never won anything except one SEC East title to then get blown out by Cam Newton and Auburn.....Tell me what did DiMarco ever do at Carolina...What did Cooper ever do? Wasted a 1st round pick on Gilmore the man when in Buffalo couldnt cover a dead man with a sheet....

Clowney has played well.  I think Captain Munnerlyn has too.  There are also several O-lineman.  I thought Spurrier did a great job with that program while competing against UGA and UF in the East.  In general, the SEC produces good NFL talent.

Really liked Woodside coming into the draft this year.  Pretty much the opposite of Allen though.

Dhaquille was turning into a star at Auburn and was projected as a 1st round pick before getting kicked off his team. Lots of issues with that guy but talent wasn't one.

Mitchell is the guy a lot of teams seem to sniff around but I've never seen him play.
