Even 40 range might pass as serviceable again crediting his blocking strength. either way though happy to see an upgrade to a really good tight end ASAP. Still i I wonder cap- wise if there is any benefit to cutting him.... if Roman sticks in Baltimore maybe they can pawn clay off to them for an eight rounder or back up long snapper? I mean I don't blame him. He really never was a true #1 and got overpaid because the Bills paid him. But he has not been worth it at all. From day 1 he was more of a full back and doesn't have the length and height to excel in teh middle of field. Plus he's had injury issues. I wouldn't be surprised if he is completely out of the league next year. He's a good blocker, but so was Lee Smith. Smith by the way has three more touchdowns than Clay this year.
