If you want to talk about LaPorta being the better Pro or being healthier, that's fine.

 

But Kincaid was the better Prospect and as such was expected to be the better Pro. It hasn't turned out that way thus far, but that happens more often than not when it comes to the Draft.

 

Could be worse, we could have been the Browns, Jets, or Cardinals and Drafted Baker Mayfield, Sam Darnold, or Josh Rosen with Josh Allen and/or Lamar Jackson on the board. Or imagine taking Henry Ruggs or Jalen Raegor over Justin Jefferson. Hindsight is always 20/20 when it comes to the Draft.

 

But on the size thing - if you look at pictures of them, they look the same. Because they're practically the same size. Sam LaPorta is 6'3" 245 lbs. Dalton Kincaid is 6'4" 240 lbs.

I don't think him being "bigger" has anything to do with the injuries. I think that IS too negative to try and draw conclusions. It is totally fair though to say that LaPorta has been more productive and would not have cost them a trade up pick.

Here's my take, for what it's worth. Josh is the franchise. Much more so than even Tom Brady was in New England. If Josh thought he was wasting his career with McDermott, he would ask for, and get, a coaching change. If he thought that Beane was incompetent and only gave him players that he can't use, he would force a different plan or get him fired. If he wanted a diva #1 WR, he would get one. He's the franchise. He got a WR in the draft last year and a pass catching TE the year before. We all hated those picks and assume that it was Beane making another idiotic choice, but all indications are that Josh chose both Dalton and Keon. He just does his business in the background, so it looks to people here like he's a helpless child being exploited by the arrogant McDermott and hapless, idiotic Beane. There is also no way that he doesn't have huge amounts of input into the offensive game planning and play calling because if he didn't like the plays that Brady was calling we would see frustration on the sideline. They have talked about how key offensive players are heavilly involved in the game planning. Josh chose Joe Brady. Josh chose Ken Dorsey. He's been picking his own coaches for the past 5 years. If he wanted a different head coach, he would have one. Josh Allen is THE FRANCHISE. If you are frustrated with the direction of the franchise, take it up with him.

Oh. Does Allen choose the defensive players as well ? Because that would make a lot of sense

Yeah you are correct.  I forgot how high Kincaid was ranked. Sorry, just a bit frustrated with all the injuries.

I love that our Bills have and continue to become an NfL powerhouse and Primetime must-watch. However, as a kid who grew up on Sunday’s at 1, it is exhausting. Between work, the kids and the rest of life, I find myself wishing they’d play more day games. I guess be careful what we wish for. 
 

That said, couldn’t we just get a Primetime game backed up to a day off. Many ppl off of work Monday…couldn’t we have caught a break and had the Sunday night game??

I like Thursday night games if the Bills win. Sets up the NFL weekend nicely. If they lose, it's horrible.

 

Monday night games are nasty - especially off the back of a loss.

How about the odd hour games from Germany or Dublin? Or the Jags outlet in London?  Interested in going to see your team play in Mexico City or Brazil? 

 

They often seem more interested in the fans they don’t have than in the fans they do have.

Another problem for me is that these night games have been close and get me too excited. To the point that i cannot fall asleep for couple of hours after the game ends and that ruins my work day. Worse if the Bills lose. 

But Bills are entertaining and Allen is popular. The country enjoys Bills games. 

Hence, I agree with you, @UKBillFan and @Since1981

Looking at this roster - only the guys who are healthy and not suspended - I don’t think that it is playoff caliber other than Allen.  The defense is just decimated, especially the CB and LB spot.  No easy fix there this season.  If they choose to go into the trade market, CB has to be a priority.

I think you may get your wish.  The Bills were a prime time favorite because they had a fun offense with Josh Allen throwing the ball all over the field.  The Bills offense is currently fairly sedate with James Cook and underneath passes.  

The Bills will have fewer primetime games next year.

All about TV ratings. If the Bills get boffo ratings in prime time , they will continue to be in demand. Simple as that.

Super Bowl champs get a ton of  primetime games. I think we'll have at least as many next year.
