That’s literally the award. The last how many years. It’s the best QB on the best team. CJ is a rookie and missed. Was never going to sniff it.

Stroud’s stats were better than Lamar’s and he took the Texans from the second worst record in the league to the playoffs, without a lot of great offensive playmakers around him.  Baltimore is a perennial playoff team, and will probably absorb another early exit.

No, it’s literally the “Most Valuable Player” award, not the “QB of the Team with the Best Regular Season Record” award.

Imagine if they still had Tank Dell??? You could make argument they are most dangerous team if they still had him.

Fair.. but 2 weeks ago it was the Bills .. last week the Browns. Your point is spot on… imagine if Bills had Milano ?? Can find examples for each team.

Your preaching to the choir but that is historically how is goes. Hard to say Lamar doesn’t deserve it? Stroud Allen Purdy CMC Hill in the conversation.

No

Yes he’s the best player on the team with the best record. It’s not that difficult. He’s most valuable to his team. With Huntley they are maybe 9-8, 8-9 ? Stroud has been the best player on a 10 win team. CMC deserves some discussion as does Hill.

So are you saying wins are purely a QB statistic?

That is in no way what I am saying. Nice try to veer things into than angle...lol.

Wins are in part (this is an important part here) due to player(s) excelling at their roles on the field. So, if a team has the most wins, that team is likely to be favored to host an array of end of season titles. A less discussed aspect of the MVP award is the value the play has on the team (who would they be without said player). Honestly, that aspect is often overlooked.
