I agree, but I also think there’s room for a third receiver. Much of the underneath stuff that could have gone to Beasley or Davis went to Moss and Singletary last night. Knox’s development impacts the amount of targets other guys get, but I believe there’s room for a slot guy, in addition to a pair of great outside guys.

My guess (strictly a guess) was, with Beasley off the field and passing to our backs out of the backfield, we invited their cornerbacks and safeties to drop deeper and open up the middle of the field. Of course, :) they didn't see Knox coming.

What a night. 🍻 Cheers!

You are spot on, I agree, and certainly have no complaints about our game plan last night. I just think there’ll be plenty of games where the third receiver gets more chances when the situation calls for it. I don’t think it’s a matter of not having a place for that third receiver like some seem to believe. As you mentioned, we just went with the backs last night instead.

Yeah, and even when he is on the field he isn’t being targeted much. Think the Bills are trying to tell him something? Have to wonder if the Organization knows they won’t be able to keep him and Gabe Davis after 2021 and they are kicking the tires on that scenario. My money is on Davis.

I think our WR core is so deep, that Cole sits at 4 or 5 on the depth chart. Just my opinion.

Knox is turning into a legit top tier TE.

Diggs is obviously a top tier WR.

Sanders is looking like the best #2 in the NFL.

Moss is a receiving weapon out of the backfield.

Only so many footballs to go around for the rest: Singletary, Beasley & Davis.

I like Cole, and respect him for standing up for what he believes - but he took it too far by making it “Cole vs Some Fans”.   I don’t really worry about replacing him in the future… I’m more hoping we have an Emmanuel Sanders replacement ready to go if he steps away after the season via draft, FA or development.  I’m not sure Davis is a high end #2, but I love him as a #3 for us down the line.

Davis has two years left after this one of a 4th round rookie deal. He is here until at LEAST the end of the 2023 season.

Honestly based on age and contract I think Beas was always likely gone after this year. The vaccine thing makes it more likely.

As for usage last night... especially first half the Bills used some funky formations and personnel groupings to confuse KC. Big personnel that they passed out of etc and I that had something to do with his lower than usual usage.

I came here to say this. We ran some wild formations last night with some weird personnel grouping. That is why Beasley wasn’t being used.

Not a huge Beasley fan these days. I have no doubt Cole is pissed. But I don’t think anybody was sending him any message. At least not today. If he wants to keep catching passes from Josh, he needs to get over this starting yesterday.

Too many good players on offense, got to spread the ball around.

When he first got here, Brown and McKenzie were the other top WR’s.   Now we have Diggs, Sanders, Davis, Knox…..  Someone has to see less balls.

He’s still part of our offense and will make plays for us.  Just not as many as over the last few years.

Listen, I don't disagree witth you about only one ball. Knox and Moss are a big part of the passing game compared to last season and Sanders is legit. Even Diggs is getting less targets. That's not a bad thing.

However, Beas had the third most snaps of WR's. I don't see the issue.
