While McDermott isn't (he's a good leader) throwing anybody under the bus, the only sentence that matters is, "...they've all still got work to do".

Boettger has been the worst per reports which may be related to him missing time with covid

Glad to see McD not putting many of the starters out there Friday. I agree 100%

Yup. Think Ford has been struggling so far from what it sounds like. Not sure if Boettger has been a little better or not. But hope Ford gets it together soon.

Anyone else feel like pulling their hair out when John Wawrow asks a 10 minute long question in press conferences?

Yeah, I do.  I think the player or coach giving the presser has a similar reaction, judging by subtle facial cues.

I have mad respect for @john wawrow as a journalist but I wish he'd take himself back to basics (practice recording his asks and listening to the recordings) and get himself out of this "rambling man" question mode.  It's the question equivalent of taking a Zoom presser in his bathrobe or similarly unkempt.

Did he give any specifics on which starters would sit, besides Josh?

Agreed on all points.  It's the same thing that drives me insane about Chris Brown -- who by the way is nowhere near the journalist Wawrow is.

Podcast I listed to yesterday (parrino/talbot) seemed very positive on Ford, that he looked good

No I don’t think so

Man, Chris Brown used to be the worst with that.  He'd ask this long question where he basically answered the question himself, and then end with a "do you agree?"

Watching Bills training camp on NFL Network right now, 10:16 EST.

I been trying to catch that for a few days now....does anyone know what the sequencing/slotting of the teams is?  They had what seemed like a 30 minute Cowpokies blurb followed by a short Jacksonville and short someone else......just wondering if anyone knows how they plan it out??

No Dion Dawkins, No Allen I say.

Dawkins might not be ready until week one..... I hope he feels well now and is good enough to eat fully and lift fully.

If not, we could be in big trouble vs. Pittsburgh unless Bates can pull it off?

I'm telling you, Pittsburgh is going to be ready to beat us if we can't nail everything down prior to week one.

That definitely means a fit and ready to go Dion Dawkins. Pittsburgh's D is the hard part.... The Stealers want that game badly.

For years I thought that was Chris Brown always asking the terrible questions about validation. I'm sure he's a very nice guy. Just wish he'd stick to football questions and stop projecting his psychological insecurities on the Bills!

The Bills want that game just as badly. A dinged up Bills team is still better than the Steelers.

Hopefully Trubisky looks really good in preseason. If he signs a nice contract next year we could get a good comp pick back. I'm not usually a comp pick obsessionist but at this stage of our team building we should start getting those.

Wondering if Beane can wizard a late rd pick or two prior to cuts with the depth we have at some positions

Thx for the heads up

Last segment they were zeroed in on Josh and the OL - with a lot of standing around

Charles Davis said they had three plays last year with projected starters on OL in their original positions

I was thinking he meant "games" and not "plays" or maybe I misunderstood what he said.

I re-wound and he definitely did say "plays" (should my credibility be impugned.....) - not sure what meant to say tho 😛

Tre White interview with Charles Davis:

- "Trust the process" in his first response about whether this team is SB bound

- leading question about the Hail Murray, said it really showed how "together" this team was when they got back into the locker room after that play

- defensive line is crucial, so he said they're just trying to keep those guys happy every day. He was handing out cookies to them yesterday

- Tre was recruited as a WR out of high school but switched to CB at LSU. Says he still has great ball skills because of that. He confirmed that McDermott is pushing the DBs to be more physical during camp, which explains some of the highlights we've seen where they're hitting the receivers early and really getting in their grill

- he's excited to have a full stadium of fans again. He's sure some fans will get stuck out in the tailgating and not even make it into the stadium.
