How ***** it must feel to be mcdermott(player). Not only did you get cut but they didn't fill your spot with anyone.

...LMAO...TRIPLE whammy.....cut, spot vacant AND sentenced to "Gang Green Hell" with Coach Cornea......suicide watch??..............

It is odd, but it could have been made as a precaution for JA and with the knowledge that McDermott was never going to see the field anyway. They may have seen enough of him to know that he was not a worthwhile keeper. Just spitballing here...

.....or maybe Bates is much better and can play all 5 spots. In fact, I'd rather see him at RT than Ford. I sure hope Nseke plays.

I'd be shocked if Nsekhe plays after zero practices this week.

I'd be equally surprised to see anyone other than Bates as the swing tackle Sunday

I've been thinking/hoping that Nsekhe hasn't practiced all week so he could rest the ankle and be more ready to go tomorrow.

Bring on the Duke

...the Duke conundrum...I read a McBeane quote (sorry, paraphrased) where he said, "the signing of Duke Williams changed our need to to draft a WR early as a top priority"......seems like a pretty lofty settlement to have him as a PS fixture.....not experienced enough for NFL level?....current WR corp is up to snuff?...if not, is it them or Allen?......what is your assessment?....

I think they had high hopes for Duke, but other players exceeded him in practice and the NFL game didn't come as quickly to Duke as they would have liked.  Still...they kept him around, giving him more time.  WRs for the Bills are expected to do more than just catch the ball.  It's perhaps these other skill sets they needed to see further development.

Depends on Nsehke's ankle. If he can't go, they need a backup tackle. Ryan Bates is the only other OL who has played tackle.

Why do they need another tackle? They'd only dress 3 anyway: Dawk, Ford, Bates. They need another tackle just to be inactive?

Zay will be inactive Sunday

Something you've heard?

So a tactical move to make it look like Barkley would start ? Maybe, but gain why cut a player ( he was claimed so can’t be total garbage and OL play is a problem across the league) if you don’t need to ? We will know soon I suppose.

To sell the possibility of Barkley starting they needed to make room for the practice squad QB to be moved to the active roster as the game day backup.

Right. I get it, but important enough to cut a player ? Maybe Connor McD was going to be let go during the bye week anyway and D Williams called up so they made the move early. Who knows ? We may or may not find out today.
