I lost my football career to over 10 concussions and some I bounced right back from and some lingered

I never looked as spry as Allen did after he left the medical tent

I'd be shocked if missed the game

Yeah but you were not in concussion protocol. There’s specific requirments to pass that. For all we know Allen could claim to be feeling great but still won’t be good enough to clear protocol. Nobody really even knows wtf it consists of

As a fan it sucks because you want to know right away who is playing QB against Tennessee. But the bills will try to gain an advantage by dragging it out all week and not announcing it until the last minute

It will be Barkley. Plan on it.

He was out for 20 seconds. He’s missing the next game if we care about his long term health. Out of all my concussions I have only been out that long once and I had symptoms for a year.

it doesn’t have to be an official concussion, but he suffered a head trauma and as noted was out cold

A person can get out of the protocol even if they are experiencing symptoms if they really want to. They just shouldn’t and they should take their health seriously. I don’t want Allen playing next week. Let him come back after the bye. It will be a low scoring game against Ten either way.

You don't know he was out for 20 seconds. He was actually rolling around (his knee) and tried getting up and it looks like his teammates keep him down

If he isn't healthy I don't want him playing either, but if he is

Was he really out cold? I hadn’t read that anywhere.

Looked that way on the broadcast. Also it seemed that way by the way he was breathing. I don’t have a definitive time frame though.

I hope you’re correct.

To pile on here, he was definitely knocked out.  I won’t be as definitive as @Boatdrinks but I’d say there is a high probability that he doesn’t play next week.

Conspiracy theory:  the concussion may offer Coach a medical reason to sit him to not only physically recover but to correct some of decision making issues by watching Barkley.  Kind of insulating Allen from losing face...  just a random thought.

Allen is 10x the QB Barkley is so it would be insulting to sit Allen for Barkley if he's healthy

I knew this game was going to be a tough one to win.......the thing I wanted most was to get out of it relatively healthy.  Now, we are faced with the prospect of going to Tennessee without Allen, sucks.

The Tennessee OL is nothing special.  Our defense has to apply the pressure.

There is no definitely. You don't know , nobody does

It's a fact he was moving his knee around..knocked out cold people don't do that. They twitch at best

I am with you. I also think the medical response would have been much different if he was “knocked out cold for 20 seconds.” I’m not sure they let him get up without a stretcher under those circumstances .

I concede your point.  Different views of the same car wreck.  He looked out to me.

Yeah he was definitely ko’d. Pretty dumb to put himself  in a situation like that. Hopefully he doesn’t miss any time.

Fighting for a first down and a guy took liberties outside the rules. I still want a QB that can fight for yardage, just a cheap shot and he will have to concede earlier by giving himself up. Love the fight in him though.

Throwing the picks may classify as dumb mistakes.

Fighting for a first down and presuming that players will not deliberately try to knock him out with an illegal helmet to helmet does not.

Or run into the locker room the way he did.   Or hang around after the game, even though he couldn't speak to reporters...

How is that dumb?  There’s literally nothing any player can do if someone wants to drill them in the head as they’re getting tackled.

Even Brady has run head first to try and get first downs in spots like that.

Exactly and he will do it again and again. It’s part of his game. It’s part of why he’ll always be at risk for injury but fortunately he seems to be able to take a hit better than any other QB I’ve seen. Thing you have to consider is how many critical first downs have you seen him get for us by sacrificing himself just like he did there?

How about act like a qb and slide. Lowering your head for extra yards is just asking for injury. Pretty dumb for a second year qb. He shouldn’t have even been in that situation, a series of dumb decisions put him at risk.

Thats the key word here, risk. He shouldn’t be exposed to this type of danger.

Oh ***** off!!!! 4th quarter down 6 and he tried to make a play. It was a dirty hit, that’s all it comes down to.   It’s part of Allen’s game and is part of the reason we are 3-1 right now.

It was 3rd down in the 4th Quarter down 6.   Nobody is sliding there.

Yup. Exactly.  Just a bad situation.

Hopefully he doesn’t miss any time. He has to play smarter, no more sacrificing mind and body.

Cam could take hits early in his career. But all those hits add up.

He’s shouldering the responsibility of making something happen to drive down and win this game!! Like the Leap in Minnie, he does what he does as a competitor, and I applaud him for that. But I guess he should’ve known the Pats would go all Greggo on him with the cheap shots.

You could see him make sure to get 2 hands on the ball on the way down

He was definitely knocked out cold.  I could clearly see it immediately.  He went down and did not move at all until after the trainers got to him.   If you watched carefully you can see where he wakes up after they turned him over.  I’m certain that’s what I saw.

Off topic, but did anyone see the hit M. Peters ( Rams DB) took when returning a pick six today vs Tampa Bay ?...he got absolutely destroy by a Oline guy.....I am surprised he got up.....that hit looked awful...

I just saw it.  Holy  cow!  He got hit by a Mack truck and he never saw it coming.  That was so brutal.  I think Peters was out cold too.
