The chances that you turn the ball over in that situation is far greater than the chances you score points. I don't care how much you trust a rookie QB. He's still a rookie QB. Just baffling. I maintain that was a great call with poor playcalling/execution. McVay did the same thing last year and it was celebrated because the Rams made it. It’s an aggressive call and I like it. It's an entirely different proposition for McVay, who designs extraordinary plays and has a top 5 offense with skill players all over and a solid QB versus Marrone who is not an offensive genius with a rookie 6th round QB and questionable skill players.
