Week 5: Will Bills get Mariota or our old friend Tannehill?

I'd think we'll see Mariota.  Doubt Vrabel wants a QB controversy, especially with another mediocre/underperforming QB in Tannehill.

Anyone have the pre-game show on?

It is absolutely down pouring in Jacksonville right now!

Couldn't be raining harder.

Absolutely happy about the rain. My lawn desperately needs it!

Also, would be surprised if more than 40,000 people showed up at the game.

That was a really stupid sequence by Marrone. The chances that you turn the ball over in that situation is far greater than the chances you score points.

I don't care how much you trust a rookie QB. He's still a rookie QB.

Just baffling.

Not really. Rather Saintdougish.

Par for the course.  Marrone went for a 2 point conversion at the end of the game last week rather than kicking the extra point and sending the game to OT.  They ended up losing the game.

In that situation, it's an over correction on his conservative tendencies. I'm all about being aggressive. Can't stand overly conservative football. But there's aggressive and there's stupid. That sequence falls under the latter category.

Yeah. I actually don't have a huge problem with that decision, but it's fair to critique. This just seemed really absurd.

And then they threw five yard passes over the middle in the rain.

He might have stumbled onto something even his ineptitude cant screw up  This Minshew kid has game.  Every so often a late round or undrafted qb comes in and lights it up

Even if he is a future Hall of Famer that was still stupid.

agreed  Didn't hurt him because the Titans suck and Mike Vrabel has no answers  I'd have given Henry the ball 4 straight times if need be when they just got the at the 44  Unless they get Henry going they are toast  Mariota sucks, he's going to need easy looks right across the middle off play action to do anything today

I maintain that was a great call with poor playcalling/execution.

McVay did the same thing last year and it was celebrated because the Rams made it. It’s an aggressive call and I like it. I’d never be upset if McD made that decision and it failed. Play to win.

It's an entirely different proposition for McVay, who designs extraordinary plays and has a top 5 offense with skill players all over and a solid QB versus Marrone who is not an offensive genius with a rookie 6th round QB and questionable skill players.

He actually had a sack.... and he's still loads better than Star. Not even close.

Thanks, I didn't catch his sack.  Dareus could be loads better than a lot of DTs in the league, he just doesn't apply himself.

Marcus Mariota is horrible.

Minshew proves once again that drafting quarterbacks is 100% crapshoot.

What it proves for me is how QBs without tape on them can play well in their first few games. Mariota was terrific his first couple games too.
