NFL Live on ESPN disses Bills D

The Bills defense will need to shut the doubters up.  No more blowouts, red zone inefficiencies, bend but don't break, getting thrashed in the run game, etc.  I hate the Pats as much as the next Bills fan, but they are an efficient defense.  The Bills need to get there and the national media will pipe down.

If we didn't hear this every single off season I might believe it.  But then las season happens.

I get it, but I've personally never thought it was the case. I know that means absolutely nothing in the grand scheme of things, but I believe the decline is imminent in 2019. What he did in the postseason was probably the most impressive performance of his entire career largely because he was putting everything he had into semi routine throws. He'll never lose the awareness. Never lose the mind. But the arm is beginning to fail him this time. He's teetering on the brink right now with his velocity level, despite the reports of his 101 MPH fastball.

NFL live on ESPN just said that the New England Patriots are the best and most complete defense in the AFC East. What a joke. They even said they have the best line-backing core. Did you here that Edmunds,  Lo  and Milano ?  I am so tired of this, the Bills need to shut up these jerks up and SHUT OUT the Patriots in week 4. I am calling it. 31-0 whoop-ass on the CHEATS.

Is that really 'dissing' the Bills?

In the playoffs, he had more yards, more yards per game (by far), more passes over 20 yards than anyone and the highest completion % and the highest completion % for 1st downs. He had the second highest YPA of any QB who played at least 2 games.

Doesn't mean anything about the upcoming year. We'll see how golden boy does. Still think last super bowl should have been Saints KC.

KC is too poorly coached in the playoffs.  No SB for them.

But I agree re: Saints

I would be happy for the Bills to shut them up, but you know this time of year, the pundits all go off last year's team records.

Last year, Pats #7 on points, Bills #18.  Pats #11 vs run, Bills #16 and kind of spotty - sometimes tight, sometimes gashed for the big yards.

Until we prove different, we are what last year's results say we are and the Pats are the defending world champs and the team to beat.

The Patriots defense snuffed out kid genius.  Bill is a defensive wizard.  With that said, having an extremely efficient offense has helped mask their personnel liabilities.  Buffalo has to earn it on the feild and win games before they get any attention.

Good i'm glad it's just more fuel for the fire !! B/lo is always disrespected & i would rather have them fly under the radar it works more to our favor !!

Defending Champs.

Defense is definitely legit in NE.

Buffalo won 6 games and while 2nd in yards allowed, was mediocre in most other defensive metrics.

Pats shut down one of the most prolific offenses in the NFL last year in the SB and also beat the most prolific offense in the NFL to get there.

Where is the shock?  Respect is earned on the field.  Bills need to earn it before they can demand it.

What is the most important defense metric?
