I think Crabtree probsbly thinks that he is better than he is and will only take money to come to a “non contender “ but would take less to go to a “contender.” I do think he would be nice to have a vet in the locker room though. I am not a believer in Zay Jones and I don't want him given a spot. If he outperforms someone like Crabtree fine - then he's earned the spot. I'm willing to move on from Zay in a minute to get some pro's in here. Crabtree is nothing special but he can play. He's not a star but a piece and you need pieces. I'm sick of hoping guys develop into pieces. He won't break the bank. His last contract was 3 years/21 mil and he got released after one (8 mil guaranteed). I'ts reasonable to believe he'll make less on his next deal. At one point he was performing as well as Amari Cooper, or so it seemed. If the contract isn't too excessive, what is there to possibly lose? We have tons of cap room.
