Basically, the Bears trashed us, and Bills Mafia decided to do the new-look Bills Mafia thing and donate money to a Chicago area Pediatric cancer center.

If anybody would like to continue the contribution, they can donate here (to a fantastic cause): https://www.bearnecessities.org/donate/

Update: Total donated surpasses 10k: https://www.wivb.com/news/local-news/bills-fans-donate-nearly-10-000-to-foundation-after-getting-called-laughing-stock-of-the-nfl-/1579380158

Don't take a bow, unless you are doing this for attention.

I think anyone at TBD participating in this is doing it for the right reasons, and not to get attention, at least I would hope. I said take a bow as part of the discussion on this thread in order to make a point that it’s something we as Bills fans can be proud of being a part of. Bit of bright news sandwiched between the dreary slog this season and much of the discussion around here has become of late.  Sorry for any misunderstanding there klos63.

Wow - my faith in the #Billsmafia has been restored.  I actually dropped the FB page from my lists due to the INSANE crazy talk from the members there.  INSANE.  CRAY.  CRAY.  TALK.

About $3.50

Lol if that's it I got duped. I threw them 15.00, nothing great, and I didnt donate to dalton's charity but I'm big on these charities.

I wasn't donating money to Daltons charity because he had a lucky play to break a playoff drought. I probably could give more, but I'm by no means loaded, yet. I already have a monthly donation to St. Judes.

I do like the idea, and support the idea in this. When they try to make you look like savages and pretty much dirt bags, turn around and be better. Like I said I criticize this fanbase a lot, so I want to pitch in when they come up with something I like to encourage it.

Again, i only threw in $15 so who knows how far that goes. It won't even come close to covering their payment processing.

Unfortunately, this became the face of the Bills Mafia...

not this...  DSsWx0cXcAA4tUS.jpg

That's why Bills fans are using the hashtag #MoreThanBreakingTables

Trying to scrub the public image... And why not if it benefits a kids cancer center, right?

its nice that some fans have donated to a charity

its unfortunate that some fans have adopted a less than classy approach to supporting their team

big thumbsdown to whoever came up with the "billsmafia" term to describe our fanbase,  when has anything with the term "mafia" meant anything good.

i was more embarrassed to be a bills fan on monday night due to the fans than the product on the field,  and thats saying alot.

keep it classy Bills fan,  if thats even possible.

The Bills Mafia namesake was originated by a good guy named Del Reid who does a lot of really impressive charity work in the community.  Only after the fact did it start to become associated with the table jumping and other stupid antics in the parking lot.  Me personally I miss the old school 12th Man days but gotta change with the times I guess.

This is awesome - the perfect way to respond to the criticism!

sorry, go and brag about it.

Who the heck is bragging? Do you even know what bragging means? It doesn't mean linking a media article on a message board, and then engaging in positive banter about it... at least in my understanding of the word in the traditional English language.

Good freaking grief, dude.

Still going. Up to more than $8K.

And pretty neat story of the name of the organization. It has nothing to do with the Chicago Bears. It was founded by a mother and her son 26 years ago when he was diagnosed with cancer at age 3. His name was Barrett but his nickname was Bear. He died shortly after his eighth birthday. His mother has kept his memory alive through the organization. They have raised 4 million for pediatric cancer research.
