See if Bills stuff is removed

Beane has usually been good about keeping the player involved well informed - so these may be early signs of some action on Astro's prediction

Who is camped out at Tempo?

Who is watching the Pegs Jet to see if it takes off from Buffalo and goes to Buffalo to pick up Mack?

Big Ben is probably going to the HOF.

When Baltimore did it, Flacco was playing on a level way higher than Tyrod is capable of playing at.

I'll give you Trent Dilfer, but the odds of winning a Superbowl via the "great defense" route are slim.

Mack doesn't change this team's win/loss column enough to justify the cost.

I'd have to disagree.   You add Mack, you have the makings of a perhaps legendary defense.  combine that with the drafting of offensive weapons in rounds 2-7 next draft, plus other off season OL additions and you add a few wins.    You potentially limit the other team to 10 points or fewer per game.  Mack, Edmunds and Milano is a scary trio.

What if Gruden wants a 2019 2nd in addition to a 2019 1st for Mack?  Then, you have to hope that your offensive weapons in rounds 3-7 become Pro Bowlers.  You want to take that chance, just for the opportunity to wear a red, white and blue Khalil Mack jersey on Sundays?

More for the opportunity to see opposing QBs actually eat dirt once in awhile.  I'm sick of seeing post-game footage where opposing QB's jerseys look like the end result of a detergent commercial.  Not sure I'd pay that much, but you underestimate what Mack brings to the table.

I don't remember hearing that but it's a possibility.  He is/was in Buffalo working out not too long ago so I would guess he wouldn't be too opposed.

I think he denied any interview requests from the local Buffalo media and then wouldn't answer any questions as to why. Also wouldn't answer any questions about Buffalo. And it was kinda strange behavior because he's played the Bills before and never had any issue speaking the Buffalo media. But I'm sure he still has friends and whatnot here so, hey ya never know, could be a chance.

He was actually just in town to visit his little brother who plays for UB.

If anyone is seriously monitoring Jerry Hughes' Twitter because they think Astro's vague tweet implies a trade, that said trade would be for Khalil Mack, and that a Khalil Mack trade would have to involve Jerry Hughes... I just don't know what to say.

You're just not looking at it in the right light...

So....just throwing this out there

Donald Penn (OT) rumors of possibly being on the trading block

So, in addition to the Mack threads, does this mean we can now look forward to a litany of: "Lawson (or Adolphus Washington) and a mid-round pick to Oakland for Donald Penn and then cut Jordan Mills" threads?

Well....not from me.   I included the Donald Penn rumor in this thread

The object of the game is to get better.....Donald Penn is pretty good.   I am a biuld through draft guy but if the price is right free agents at key positions help.

Expecting Mack and getting Penn would be a major bummer.

We are expecting Mack?

I dont think we should be expecting Mack.....he is gonna cost a ton and that really does not fit the MO of this front office.

We're bills fans. We're expecting Mack, whether or not it makes any sense.

And while I agree that it seems unrealistic that we would get Mack, I don't agree with your reasoning. We haven't seen the front office spend any money yet because they've been gutting the team down to the studs and rebuilding it their way. This incurred a lot of dead cap that they knew they would need to eat. Now is the time to spend.

They still have not done it...when I see them do it I will believe it....so far its been about trading away big contracts, accumulating draft picks, and getting players at the right price.

That might change....but they have not done it.

Probably trading Penn to free up some CA$H for Mack.  This is getting more disappointing than finding out that Dunkirk Don was a farce.

Cash isn't worth too much if they don't pick up the phone.

I really want this to blow up (even if we don't get Mack) just so we can all laugh at Gruden.

Why would anyone take the time to vote unsure?

Maybe because both sides of the argument have valid points, therefore the poster might not be sure what would benefit the team more.

At first I was very strongly in favor...but the more I thought about it the more I felt it would cripple our chances for improving the offense.

I don't want to get too far ahead of myself, but there was a SILVER (one of the Raiders colors) Ford Taurus parked outside Tempo with a UB bumper sticker. Tim Russert's Nephew's barber just told me.

Would you be OK with the Bills trading a first round pick and then signing him to a big extension considering our pick will be top 10 next year most likely?

Beanie could get Mack for a 2025 5th rounder, a Huffy bike tire and a left 1986 Red and Black Air Jordan.

Well according to the poster here who spoke to Astro we have another day before this happens. Anyone want to lock in their predictions before something happens?

My prediction is absolutely nothing is happening beyond a massive upswing in twitter followers for this guy.

let's be a big boy here.  do you think giving up 2 seconds is giving up the farm?  again...is this just another platform for you to complain, (not debate) about the bills?  go look at the rg3 trade.  that is trading away the farm.  start making some sense in your posts.

Seahawks and Broncos just did in the last 5 years. Not sure what you mean by slim odds

I respect your point, but mack turned 27 a few months ago. He’s in his prime. Rather than young, maybe “cheap” is more appropriate. I can respect that in a year deep in DLine. GREAT also appeals to me, so I guess it depends upon the cost. A 7th in 2022 works for me.  ?. I’m glad we pay people to do this better than I could.

Agree.

Hitting on the draft and getting the 5 years of cheap production is how teams must build in today's NFL.  27 years old is prime, yes, but  after prime comes age, which means we missed out on this youth. Not to say he isn't great, and would be a great addition, I just wouldn't give him the kind of contract that haunts teams once a player starts to age.

Beane may see it differently, but I doubt they will pen him to a monster contract.

Even if we cant get Mack.....I would still like to be in on the Donald Penn trade.

With Dawkins and Penn book ending the OT spots...this group looks a lot better.

We have to use that cap space the team has put together next year SOMEHOW

If not on a difference maker like this....then who?
