This is the biggest news by far. Why would he be flying to Cleveland the night before the draft. This is HUGE. I think Beane and company have tried to get Cleveland to trade pick 4 for awhile to no avail so they decided to meet up in person to try to convince them.

Maybe Terry's buying Flying J and helping Jimmy H. get out of his problems with the IRS as part of the deal...

Are they taking Jarvis Landry hostage until they give up pick 4?

... and worth it.

Sure.... you realize trading to 1 means one starter out of this draft, and 1-2 out of next.  That shiney new QB may be dead by then with this roster, current cap situation and roster age.

i think that’s overbuying.  I’m hoping they can get their guy cheaper.

The Bills don't have a quarterback. They will suck until they have one.

No way the Browns trade #1.

Browns want Allen, Jets do not want Allen, they want Rosen.

It's pretty simple.  Browns get the QB they want to sit behind Taylor for 1 season at #4, AND they get a crapload picks this year AND the Bills' #1 next year.

It will be sickening to lose all those picks tbh, this better work...

Browns want Darnold.

Even if the bills were making a trade with the Browns, why would pegula have to go there? To personally give them a hug and kiss?

Could be they want to have a private discussion, face to face? It’s a 30 minute flight, and while their at the dinner table with them, their phone is on mute?

Wouldn't they all be in Dallas  by now?

Nah, they have a couple of representatives who go to the draft, but the team's heavy hitters stay at the home site in their respective "War Rooms."

I'm hearing Pegula is instructing Beane to simply get it done, whatever it takes.  The picks won't matter if Darnold is great.

Browns want Allen, they know it makes no sense to take him at 1.

I won't like losing next years #1...

Yea at minimum it will be 12, 22, 53, 65, next year's 1st. For Darnold who I would take 3rd out of this class. Sloppy mechanics, horrible throwing motion, bad feet, fumbles and interceptions every single game (32 turnovers in 26 games I believe). He didn't throw at the combine for a reason. Didn't want to be exposed vs better passers. Game manager type QB. Expect Fitz (at his best) type stats. Not sure why he would be considered 1st QB to go except that he's the only one without any baggage

Yeah yeah I’ve heard that relentless crescendo... and the point remains trading up to #1 is reckless unless they are positive they are drafting an ELITE, perennial top 5 QB and positive he’s going 1 2 or 3

if this guy ends up being just a Matt Stafford or Sam Bradford, we can count on continuing to suck for a while...

Sorry to rain on everyone's parade, but team executives don't load up a plane and go to another team's headquarters just to talk trade. Why would they do that? What could be accomplished in person that couldn't be accomplished over the phone?

Silliness.

You know what’s more sickening?

Not having a franchise QB for 22 years.

It just happened. When it's the 1st pick you do
