Willyville Guy
All I know is that if the Bills somehow win on the road this week I'll be in full "It's On Like A Mofo!!" mode no matter how many passing yards Taylor puts up.

PromoTheRobot
So now wins aren't enough but they have to win ina specific manner... Exactly. This isn't gymnastics where you score style points. People hung up on passing numbers aren't thinking about the risks you take with an inexperienced receiver corps. There is absolutely no reason to air it out when you have a lead, especially when the risk of someone running the wrong route is high.

Billsfan1972
This is all we see however out of Buffalo and the offense and results in seasons in and around .500. Until you have the ability to put up 300 yards passing we get the same excitement that 200 was thrown for. Sorry that I'd really like to see more. You seem to equate the inability to crack.500 solely on hitting the 300 yard mark passing. I think there are other factors...like a #1 defense. Kirby Jackson
More evidence he's a top 10 QB. I never called him a top 10 QB but you can easily do worse. If anyone things that passing yards matter I do not respect their opinion or football knowledge. There is no correlation between passing yardage and wins. Drew Brees led the league in passing yards and his team was 7-9.

billsfan89
When you have a very good defense and a dam good running back and a lack of weapons in the receiving core your passing attack is going to be much more conservative in order to avoid turnovers which maximizes your chance of winning. That's not an knock on Tyrod, Tyrod doesn't need to throw the ball a lot and he has to keep turnovers low. It also doesn't help that he doesn't have dynamic weapons in the passing game. This team can win with Tyrod not putting up big numbers, in fact its most advantageous for the gameplan for him to play conservative.

If Taylor had the wide receivers and OL that Jared Goff and Trevor Siemian have, he might throw for 300 yards. Billsfan1972
Again he played well. That is not the point. He holds on to the ball and doesn't make mistakes. But yes you need to be capable of 300 yards passing games to be successful in the long run. Name me a team in the last 15 years who was successful with a pop-gun pass attack. The point is I think TT is capable of it, but they traded away his best weapon and this yes was a typical Bills win where they are never down more then 1 score. Yep the D really exposed Trevor Symien....... It's always better to have 300+ passing yards and have the team lose. And how often have we seen that in the last 5 years? And before someone mentions the Miami OT loss (took OT to get 300)......... Only 300 yards game as a Bill..... 35 games and one over 300..... QB Bills
More evidence he's a top 10 QB.Fine, I'll say it. He is a top 10 qb. Look at what he's had to work with at receiver last year and this year. Look at how crappy the pass protection is with this o-line. They took away any deep threats, thereby negating one of his best weapons. He's had to work with a different coordinator every year he's been here. And this year, we've got another run, run, pass specialist. His scrambling ability is the best in the league. He rarely makes big mistakes in terms of turnovers. All of these things factored in, I'd place him as a top 10 qb. Fans who trash him just don't watch other QBs with the same critical eye.
YoloinOhio
I'm not a Taylor fan (as a franchise QB) but I'm rewatching the game right now and the guy made some big time throws and plays to move the chains and score points. He had a vintage Russell Wilson game on Sunday against a big time defensive secondary. Edited September 27, 2017 by YoloinOhio

Yes, I attribute that near .500 win total to a lack of a good passing game. When Trent Dilfer, Brad Johnson & Jeff Hostetler are brought up it validates my m point. It's brought up because these guys weren't the most prolific passer, but their DEFENSE was top notch so they WON SB's. We can win with TT, but we just won't win often on the back of TT unless he gets more consistent. I've noted my reservations about the guy the last two years. I have said he is NOT the answer at QB. But if he can string together performances like this past Sunday, regardless of yardage totals, and we win then wgaf?
HappyDays
And with all these high ratings, no one argues he's a top 10 QB. Why? It is actually much easier to argue that he is a top 10 QB, than it is to argue that he is not a starting-level QB as some on this board have tried to do.
