kinda weird, he played sunday and the rule states unable to play or practice for 6 weeks from date of injury

• Short-term IR came into effect in 2012. It effectively allows NFL teams to stockpile one player on IR for half the season. That player must, however, have a substantial injury.

In the past, when a player was placed on IR, their season was over. Now, there is one exception. Schwartz is the Giants' exception. He can still return later in the year.

The rules state:

During each season a club will be permitted to return one player from the Reserve/Injured List to its 53-player Active/Inactive List. Such player must have suffered a major football-related injury (defined as an injury that renders the player physically unable to practice or play football for a period of at least six weeks [42 calendar days] from the date that the injury occurred) after reporting to training camp and must have been placed on Reserve/Injured after 4:00 p.m., New York time, on the Tuesday after the final roster reduction. A player who is eligible to return must be noted as "Designated for Return" at the time the player is placed on Reserve.

What are terms of "short term" IR?

wow. I don't get the neck injury deal. I watched the replay numerous times and don't see anything?

He got up slow after a couple tackles where he was holding his neck on the ground. They also showed the trainers checking his neck out on the sidelines after one of those tackles.

The strange thing this year has been that players missing games seemed like they would be able to play the next week. I didn't think the following were knocked out at the end of the previous game: Karlos, Tyrod, Aaron, Miller (was questionable to return to the Miami game) and even McCoy, though less-so since he basically didn't play the 4th quarter.

No, we're just Job from the bible. Life of misery to test us.

It was really cool this morning as Bob Papa and Jason Taylor from NFL Radio were just touting there is nothing like Bills fans. A caller commented from Syracuse, he couldn't believe the difference between a Giants game, vs. a game at the Ralph.

They stated it's different in Orchard Park. They basically stated the fans know what to do. In so many new stadiums Papa mentioned how many distractions there are between the fine food, and the fancy drinks, that sometimes the fans forget what is important. A deafening noise while we are on defense.

I couldn't agree more. i mentioned on this board before I fly my boys up for a home game every year. They cannot believe what is the difference between going to a Bills game, and a home game in Tampa. This includes the Dungy/Gruden years where we were a winning team year after year.

God bless Bills fans!

Unfortunately, he's not one of the best safeties from a mental standpoint. He appears to be a total idiot.

And he's also got a weak d*** game.
