  1. Or the Sundowner. Bruce and Cornelius used to love it there.
  2. I thought Tyrod played OK. Still too many 3 and outs and missed opportunities. But they got the job done and got the W. Luck was definitely in their favor too. That TD catch by Holmes was pure luck. The dumb penalty on Von Miller that extended a drive and gave us points. The picks. Those things don't always go in our favor.
  3. I actually enjoy Howard and Jeremy in the morning. I'm not really listening or deep analysis. I think they are entertaining. I don't mind Murphy and Donald. They are what they are, team shills. I HATE Schopp and the Bulldog. Bulldog might literally be the dumbest person in WNY, let alone on the radio and Schopp is a derelict. All he talks about are alcohol and gambling and how he really doesn't like the Bills. The station gets turned off as soon as I get in my car for the drive home. I used to try to listen, but would get annoyed and have to change it within 5 minutes
  4. I didn't hear Tyrod's comments but I really loved what Shady had to say. Basically he said that every player needs to look in the mirror and identify mistakes they made and things they could've done better. Blaming the new coaches or scheme is an excuse, he said. He said they've been the best running team in the NFL the last two years and there's no reason they shouldn't be now. Same players, facing the same defenses (8 in the box) they just need to make the plays. I really enjoyed his attitude and the tone of his conversation. Shady is definitely one of my favorite Bills players of all time.
  5. Well, yeah. But he is a Two-time state champion in wrestling so he must be a great football coach, right?
  6. The thing I noticed is that they really play Hyde very deep in center field. Reminded me of watching tapes of Kelso.
  7. I called yesterday. The first woman I spoke to was overseas. Lied straight to my face. I asked to be transferred to Customer Loyalty/Retention and was told "Oh, no sir. We don't have anything like that". Even after explaining to her that I have spoken to them on several occasions and that I had an agreement with them I wanted to discuss, she stuck with her story. "No, no, sir, Mister, We don't have anything like that. I can help you". I hung up. Called back a little later. Nice young man asked a few questions and then transferred me directly to customer loyalty. I made sure to get the direct phone # from the woman I spoke to in Customer Loyalty to avoid that hassle in the future. The lady was super nice and friendly. We chatted and joked while she looked in her system for the best deals. I explained that I don't need Max and would not want to pay extra for it. She says it's now included in all of the NFL Ticket packages. It's not separate anymore. So, she offers me the Ticket/Max for 1/2 off of the regular price. 4 payments of $47.25 (approx. 189.00). And she can give me a $15/mo bill credit. ($180.00) so I would pay $9 for the Ticket. I agree to that. As she is entering everything into the system, she comes back and says "I found you a better deal". I end up only paying for payments $24.00 ($96 total) and still getting the $15.00/mo bill credit. So they are paying me to have the NFL Ticket. LOL THEN, she says she can also give my the Expanded sports station package Free for a year (included NHL channel, Golf Channel, Speed, etc. Plus the regional sports networks. This is an $84 value. I was pretty happy with the outcome.
  8. agreed. You'd also get a player under contract for multiple years vs Sammy who was going to be very difficult to re-sign Definitely an interesting situation to ponder
  9. Hopefully our defense can get some hits on him and knock him around a little bit.
  10. This loss does remove the annoying, season long string of "Pats are going to go undefeated" boasts by the talking heads on ESPN and NFLN. That makes me happy.
  11. EASY SOLUTION: Play the National anthem for the fans prior to the players coming out onto the field. Then, with the crowd on their feet and cheering, introduce the players and run them out onto the field. No more controversy.
  12. I think we can all agree the Bills are not a playoff team this year. If you think this is a playoff team this year, please don't respond. Enjoy your fantasy land. I really don't want to debate that issue. That said, if they're going to be bad and only win 5-6 games (if that), I see no value in that. If you're going to be bad, bottom out. Get rid of dead weight or players who are not the future. I'd much rather go 0-16 than 7-9.
  13. We don't take kindly to smart people around here
  14. They'll probably dump Holmes after week 6 when Powell comes off of suspension
  15. The thing I don't understand about Zay: All of his stats from the combine are equal or better than Sammy. But Sammy is considered and "explosive downfield threat" and Zay isn't
  16. Same here. Also looking forward to seeing Boldin and Zay Jones
  17. Due to his smallish size, I was expecting him to be moved to Safety
  18. -No injuries. -I'd like to see the starting offense and defense looks strong and generally error/penalty free -Interested to see more of Zay Jones -Interested to see Peterman with the 2s
  19. Maybe the contraction would be better: should'f LOL
  20. "off field" incident could be something as simple as missed curfew or late to a meeting. Doesn't have to be anything serious
  21. What does Beane have to gain by telling a complete lie? I understand the Bills have been bad for a long time and we've had some incompetent people making decisions at times, but I don't understand the conspiracy theory. I believe he was telling the truth. What I personally think happened was that Philly called and upped their offer for Darby because they got desperate for a CB. I think Beane was holding out for a little more from LA for Sammy. But once they got the sweetheart deal with Philly, the Sammy trade was more palatable. Sounds like it all really came together during and just after our game.
  22. yes, because they weren't making a run to the playoffs before the trade and they aren't after. And now they have 2 extra picks to use as bait to get their QB of the future. The biggest IF in the whole thing is Sammy's health. If he stays healthy all year, he is a dynamic playmaker and much more helpful to the team than Matthews. If not, Matthews durability should help the Bills. The think Darby and the CB we acquired are basically the same guys. So that, to me, is a wash. The gravy in the deal is the extra picks. I love draft currency/flexibility.
