I think these opportunities are for practice squad. To either or both:

1) break glass if needed

2) use in practice to cut down on reps for t.bass

I dont want a kicker we can call "wide wright"

Gary Anderson, Dustin Hopkins, Pete Gogolak all left buffalo to have long careers.

Hopkins has not had great success. He's been up and down ever since he left Buffalo including last year. He just got beat out by a rookie. But he is an experienced veteran and Im surprised he is not being looked at

Speculation. The Bills and all other teams bring in kickers and other positions for work outs all the time. Good intel for either when you need them later, or for the practice squad.

Eddy Pinero is the only guy on that list that comes close to Bass.    I hate even having to discuss kickers.

This is likely just diligence if Bass can’t go at some point during the season. But the Bills can save 3.5 million on the cap by cutting him now.

Honestly, might be a little blessing in disguise. Sometimes these recycled veteran kickers get on these hot streaks. Might be a low pressure way to test someone else out who could end up being a stud.

He's been in the league 12 years. I respectfully disagree he's not found success
