In fairness, based on what?  131 receptions in 6 freaking years.

Again, opportunities.  He's not the answer to our prayers, but he's solid.

Mack is more the 57 rec 700 yard guy with the Raiders than those other years.

30 years old, 7 year vet.  Tall guy, 6'4" 220

Best season, 2022 with LVR and Derek Carr throwing to him, 57 receptions for 690 yds, behind Davonte Adams.

Aside from that year, primarily a STer, with hoped-for potential that never materialized.

4.53 40 time with the comment "he plays faster than his 40 time"

Seven year vet. originally a 4th rounder to Philly. 6' 4" and 221 lbs. Big kid. 30 years old. Has played for Philly, Miami, Las Vegas, and then Atlanta last year.

Career: 131 receptions for 1,691 yards and 10 TDs.

Best year was in Vegas two years ago when he had 690 yards and 4 TDs on 57 receptions.

Special Teams Ace. Was a special teams captain for the Falcons last year

This

With Hollins

You get the blocking that left with Gabe Davis

You get a more polished WR than Trent Sherfield

You get the ST gunner that left with Siran Neal.

This is the type of player you want from your WR5/6

He’s a bottom of the 53 man roster who can play STs and be a WR if they are struck with injuries. People need to realize they’re not making big moves and are protecting their comp picks. They won’t spend a lot this off-season but good teams don’t have to

We couldn't get Michael Thomas on a small 1 year prove it deal for $2 or $3 million? I don't think any team would even invest higher than $5 million in him at this point

Does he play Gunner?

Fine addition as long as

a) the contract is cheap and they intend on using the minimal cap space available on a starting safety

and

b) they intend on going WR in round 1

Think he cost ATL like $2.5M last year, can’t imagine him making anymore than that now.  Need to round out the WR room, fair signing if he’s our WR4/5/6 versus what we had paid guys like Sherfield and Harty.

I remember him having a couple big games with the Raiders and being a big fantasy waiver wire pickup for like one week and then he came back down to Earth

Who were you expecting?

Not much given their money situation. Resign some of their own which they did. The draft was going to be where the Bills were going to improve their roster.

Agreed. They do have to fill reserve and special team players.

I think we all know the Bills are going with a WR in the first couple rounds of this draft….and maybe 2 in the first three or four rounds.

I knew our money situation was bad, but I didnt know it was MACK HOLLINS bad. Christ.

In all seriousness, what is your problem with this signing?  He's been a career STer, he's put up some numbers when he got the chance.  New Jake Kumerow or Trent Sherfield candidate.  Sounds like he's got a bit of a screw loose, which is right on point for a guy who might play gunner.

Generally when a guy's most recent contract was 1 year, $10M and he's got a $2.2M roster bonus already due to him, the answer to that question is gonna be "no".

FWIW, Spotrac suggests a market value of $9.2M for Michael Thomas, and if you don't think any team would invest higher than $5M, that kind of implies some team just might invest $5M, which means he won't sign for $2 or $3M early in FA.

We all knew or suspected the Bills would have to retool the roster around Allen this offseason. Many of the core guys these past few years are getting older so it was time to get younger which is what the Bills are doing. I am looking forward to the draft with the Bills having so many picks.

I don’t know if he can play football, but he’s right about cats.    😋

These are the types of signings I expect. Fill holes inexpensively before the draft.

The dude literally didn't play for like 3 straight seasons because of injuries and suspensions. I can't see any team putting that number on him. They would be dumb

It would be a compliment if I said those posters were a Mack Hollins type on this board

Then there's the bit about utensils: "if you can't eat it with your hands, you shouldn't be eating it".

He might need to re-think his shoe stance in Buffalo, though.

We better invest a hell of alot more into the WR room than this.  Thank God we still have the draft and Im still holding out hope for someone like Samuel.

I would be surprised if they don't go WR in the 1st RD.

Didn't know he was still in the league. This should be vet minimum - hopefully it is just a fill out the 90 move (they did need some receivers for OTAs etc) and he doesn't make the roster.

He may well make the roster as a gunner/STer 5th or 6th WR - why would you have a problem with that?  He's shown he can produce more with a good QB throwing to him than most #5 or 6 WR do.
