Kneeling 🧎‍♀️it down with 20 seconds left, one of the best QBs in thr league, and one TO

Because of the risk of interception and field position.

20 seconds isn't a thing.  It's hysterical to make it one.

And if it is intercepted then this thread has a different title and the coach is called a moron.

I said this in the 2nd half thread and someone said “but the conditions were bad”.

Who cares?  You play to win the game.  You have to take a shot if it fails then kneel it out and call it a day.  But what would ever make you believe this defense was going to stop someone in overtime.

I wouldn't fire him for the 20 seconds, though I agree with you but there are now two examples, where the QB of the Buffalo Bills played a nearly flawless football game. Over 400 yards and 4 TD's today and ended up losing because the defense couldn't get a stop. This is not just a two time thing, this has happened multiple times over his tenure in the 7 years he has been the Head Coach. Its his specialty, the defensive side of the ball. You expect a Defensive Specialist to be able to get a stop on top teams when your QB has literally played an almost perfect game.

I just can't with this guy anymore. He did his job. He took the Bills to heights they haven't been for the last 20 years before he came along but he isn't going to take this team to the Super Bowl. We will always fall short with him. He is not aggressive enough both allowing his offense to spread it out and go and his defense is well lets play soft until they get in range and hope for a mistake.

What I love about the Chiefs is they are aggressive on both sides and it has bitten them in the past but they are going to go down swinging all the time. Spags in that situation is literally bringing the house on defense over and over and over again and he's trying to get you to make a dumb decision or get a sack and fumble or a holding penalty to put you at a disadvantage. Reid goes for it when the opportunity presents.

Fire. McDermott. Now.  Please.

Dude it should have been 3 TOs.  We wasted two while on D on the last two plays.  Eagles third down and Icing the kicker.

this team more than any other should know that 13 seconds is plenty of time.  20 seconds and 3 TOs is an eternity.

Yeah. You’re 100% right. Season is on the line. The minute he called a TO on the FG try I knew he was settling for OT.

Oh well. On to the next one!

When are Bills reporters going to call for McDermott's job?

Icing the kicker, wasting a timeout they could have used

Calling timeout in OT giving them more time to plan the play

Defensive playcalls that a blind QB could pick apart

Dorsey was a problem, Sean is THE PROBLEM!

I had no problem kneeling it out with 20 seconds. What I have a problem with is the consistent vanilla defense when ahead late in the game. He lacks zero killer instinct and allows teams to stay close. We are an above average team that becomes average.

Your season is on the line. You should be playing like you need a field goal to tie the game and send it to overtime. Especially with how successful you have been on offense all game. If you're worried about an INT then why ever even throw it in overtime? It was a gutless, stupid decision.

Honestly?  If it’s intercepted, so what?

Need to win out.  Whatever it takes.

Now, we got The coin toss and had the winning TD if Davis didn’t suffer from rectal cranial inversion (head up his arse).  Still, have to win out so….should have gone for it.

TOs do not carry over in OT.

Totally disagree.  No one on this forums in their right mind could have made a case saying “dumb McDermott should have went to overtime and trusted his world class defense”.

Sorry if Josh throws an interception or there’s a sack fumble the narrative of this game is another second half collapse and bad officiating.  No one would have hung McDermott out to dry for TRYING TO WIN THE GAME.

Last years Lions and this year's Eagles are different teams

Look, if you want to focus on all the stuff that happens in the counter factual, then crack on if it makes you feel better.

A board of soothsayers will always know more than the men making the actual decisions.

Kneels.

This coach is a total loser.

Why not try to win the game?

He should be walking back to Buffalo.

So pathetic

I think part of it has to do with your screen name. Don’t love playing hero ball in the pouring rain.  I was fine with playing for OT.

That said, I would have gone for it on 4th down in OT. That was the time to win the game.

My problem is not necessarily the kneeling with 20 seconds as much as it is blowing two time outs before doing that.

Blow a time out with 30 seconds left before the third down play… ok.

Blow another time out with 25 seconds left to… ice the kicker?

THEN KNEEL?

Pathetic.

I've always defended McDermott,  for all he has done. Despite the losses.  I started to have doubts last year. The doubts grew deeper this year. After he kneeled with 20 secs to go, when he played to go to OT, he finally lost me. I'm DONE. I want him fired. We will not get to the promised land with him. FIRE HIM
