Atlanta presale tickets are being used as extra motivation for Bengals

in an nba regular season, it can be argued that players aren't max motivated every game.

in a college football regular season, it can be argued that players aren't max motivated every game.

even in the nfl regular season, it can be argued that players aren't max motivated every game.

but this is the NFL playoffs. the divisional round. two teams desperate to move on to the afc title game. this ticket stuff makes for a cute storyline of manufactured bulletin board material, but it adds nothing - nothing - to the motivation of the bengals. if you were't already max motivated to begin with you've got serious problems.

I really hope that one day we never see Mixon as a free agent or trade prospect and someone starts a "would you go for" thread for him.

Besides what do the Bills have to do with a neutral location selling "potential tickets"?  This team

nweds to be shut up on Sunday. s

Mixon is going to have a tough time in FA, not only because of his past but because his production at the NFL level is not worth the trouble.

This game is to see who advances to the AFCCG. If you need more motivation than that, it's likely you're in the wrong profession.

Mixon talks alot for someone who heads up the worst remaining rushing attack in the playoffs. With all the attention their WRs draw from defenses, Mixon still only averaged 3.9 ypc this year.

It is very manufactured though. The reporter full well knows they are selling tickets for all 4 potential AFCCG matchups and yet asks the question to get that response from Mixon that we will in turn click and generate views on. Mixon should be smarter about it.

Apparently there have been a number of things that have given Cincy some extra motivation, such as the 5 point underdog betting line.

But now, it sounds like they are using the fact that the NFL is selling tickets already to the Atlanta AFCCG when that can only happen if both Bills and KC win.

Seems like Bengals are coming in trying to use anything to get a good size chip on their shoulder.  Stupid part about this is you can buy tickets to any teams potential championship game that’s still in the playoffs lol.

Joe Mixon is an IDIOT!! Now go post that on their bulletin board!!

Anybody who feels disrespected over this particular practice -- which is a longstanding one in professional sports -- is stupid.  We should quit worrying about what stupid people think about things.  We can carry on with our business while they sit their furrowing their brows in a vain attempt to understand the situation.

Teams always sell tickets for future playoff games that are obviously contingent on what happens before.  This is nothing new.

the bengals have sold tickets for next weeks potential bengals jags matchup

this is just an unintelligent player being unintelligent

I bet the bengals season ticket holders have placeholders  for the afc championship game next week in cinci.   Which would happens if they and Jacksonville win.  What is the difference?  This is just noise

no “I bet,” every team does this before the playoffs.

I remember a clip from the weekend of the Super Bowl for one of the Patriots early SB wins (I think it was the Eagles one in 2004) where Belichick showed the players a newspaper clipping about how the city of Philly was letting folks know when the SB parade would be if they won...of course he was spinning it that it was disrespect.  When in reality its a logistics thing that has to be planned for.  Same with the neutral site in Atlanta.  Bengals can feel all the disrespect they want but the game is played on the field.  We'll see.

I could see how Beli-CHEAT would be made since Kraft already bribed zebras.
