I am hoping he is stable and able to love a normal life if no longer football  but I did find this online about another injury

This is the one I was remembering. They had live shot into the ambulance with a guy astride the player doing cpr as they closed the doors.

Even if he is ok the fact that the players had to witness a teammate and friend receiving cpr they need to suspend the game until at least tomorrow. There are things way more important in life than a football game.
