Is the DVR just like "ondemand" where I can access recent shows?  I'm wondering if this would replace things like Hulu, Paramount, or Peacock for me.  I would lose the online only shows, but meh

It doesn't actually record older seasons, it will give you links to watch VoD for everything you add to your library, but it will categorize the newest unwatched episodes.

VoD will force you to watch some commercials and there is no FF thru them. but the newer shows you add to your library, that are recorded like a DVR, you will be able to fast forward thru commercials etc... just like a standard DVR

As for shows... what ever is available thru YoutubeTV should be available, but Hulu, paramont and Peacock originals that are stream only would still require a subsciption to those services

Schedule comes out in May, right? Before June 6.

I'll wait to see how many prime time games we get again. I'd assume at least 3, if not 4 again. If thats the case, I may just save my money since between those games and the couple where the Bills end up the National game, I'm already getting half the Bills season on TV.

Couple that with bars being back full swing, and the Bills Backers Atlanta always being a fun time...

It may be that I end up having to pirate 2-3 games, and the rest I can catch normally and for free. I can deal with that.

Which location do you go to watch in Atlanta?

I’ve had NFL Sunday ticket for 25 years and have negotiated the cost to $0 for the past 4 or 5 years, and don’t expect YouTube to negotiate. I doubt there are even actual people to talk to with YouTube.
Even paying full price this year it’s still a bargain compared to an afternoon at one of the Atl Bills’ Backers locations.

I can’t imagine occupying a table for 4-5 hours and dropping less than $50-$75 with food, drinks, tax, and tip.
Hell, I go to the Chick-Fil-A drive thru with my wife and it’s easily $17 for a couple ssndwiches, fries, and drinks.

$300 for the ticket seems like a lot a first, but it’s actually pretty good value for the comfort of home.
Just hope it’s not a case of getting you hooked and locked into their service and then increasing every year another $50.

It's cheaper than subscribing to DirecTV and buying NFL-ST, but $350 is still pretty steep for non subscribers. I ditched DTV in 2018. For the past few years, I've used my son's university email address to get the streaming package for $99, which has been nice. He graduated last May, but they auto-renewed without verifying his address, so I got it again last season.

This year, I'll look at the schedule and see how many games I'd need it for. If there are just a few, then I might get the NFL+ package and watch recordings of those games after the fact.

On the other hand, I can afford it, so I might just bite the bullet and pay up.

Careful.

it does work like that but you are supposed to be a family at the same location. If you look in the Family Sharing link that was sent in the location section, it says…

“Location requirements work the same if you're sharing your YouTube TV membership with a family group. The family manager sets the home area, and all family members must primarily live in the same household.”

Right now I think you can have 5-6 but only 3 actively watching it. Not sure if they are going to allow multiple people watching Sunday Ticket at the same time? Assuming you’d tune in using the current YouTube TV app.

Dammit!  You've ruined it for me.  Well, my mom lives "very close" to me so hopefully not an issue!

You can select anything that is on any channel within You Tube, then choose to add it to your library and it will record every showing whether new or reruns.  But does list them in date shown so newest is to the top.  It has no limit to what you can record, somewhere after 6 to 9 months they get deleted.  Or you can choose to remove show from library and they are then all gone.

You get a choice of two showings, one kin d of "on demand" that includes commercials and second one on local network that you can fast forward thru commercials.  Why you'd use the "on demand" have no idea, unless you just love the commercials.

The main reason I got You Tube is I have two houses in two different states so only need to pay for one service and watch things in whichever location I'm at.  There are some limitations when not in home network, you often have to wait 24 hours to watch something you recorded. You can watch it live or wait a day.

Overall I like it, but guide is more pain if you want to see what's on TV 2 days from now.  Also not as smooth to fast forward or rewind as my TIVO only that you can't go to a specific second, everything is in 15 second increments.  Otherwise no big issues

I don't know if you can pick a random day and see what is on. I can look at that

I did read where subscribers will be sent out notices starting today and for the next few days. I haven't received mine yet

the dvr is a little different. You choose shows to "add to your library". You can't record a single show, it records all seasons. I'm still learning it but it is unlimited so no worry about running out of space. Shows will delete after 9 months. I already have it set up to record all Bills games

OK thought maybe you already knew a way to do this.

I do believe there are more options using the You Tube guide when logged in on computer than when watching through TV, little easier to do things.

I'm a Whitehall guy, myself. Medlock is ok, but more a "family" atmosphere. We still bring our 4 year old to Whitehall tho. She was 3 when she attended last season's Ravens game at the bar and with the comeback win, fans jumping on tables, etc, she got as close to the hometown experience as she can down here.

Havent tried Standard yet. I know @Royale with Cheese is a fan. But I've heard there arent a lot of TVs, especially lacking on the patio.

You are correct about the cost. It definitely isnt a bad deal for the Sunday Ticket. Yes, I could pay for the entire season of Sunday Ticket with just 3 Whitehall trips. But it's more about hanging with the crew and other Bills fans.

So, it's $21 per week if you are not a YouTube subscriber and you do the early bird special

Of course, not counting National games.  I can live with that.

I just have to decide if I want to capture the savings going to YouTube TV and ditching Sling.

I got a month or so to make up my mind.

Does anyone know if you get a discount if you sign up for (YouTube TV and the NFL package) on YouTube Premium add free service?

DirecTV reportedly had about two million Sunday Ticket subscribers. However, the company gave many subscriptions away for free to induce satellite signups. Oestlien said YouTube would not do so for YouTube TV.

That’s from YouTube’s VP of product management.

you can still do it until they start going after people. But it’s not just a YouTube TV issue as we all know.

My daughter in college uses my YouTube TV all the time.

No doubt they are paying a lot more for the rights.  Fans talking about the cap going way up............that wasn't coming at a viewer discount.

The Standard is pretty good but its just small.

The energy at Whitehall is awesome.  Yes it costs more but I can watch the Bills and look at 25 year old fit blonde in a tight Josh Allen jersey.  Its bar porn.

In reading more online, it seems as though you need to login at the "home" location once every 3 months.  So, you might be able to bypass that by having your account logged in at the home location and having them use it once a month.

My concern right now is, I'm hearing they won't allow all 5 accounts to stream at once.

Everything is negotiable! I’d like to host a game this year. We moved into a house designed to throw parties, but it’s mostly the two of us, and the occasional brave neighbor who isn’t offended by foul language. Bills fans INVENTED foul language!

Been a Sunday Ticket subscriber for over 20 years now... Never complained

Me too and often got it free or at a reduced rate.

Still have DTV. With the discounts it's still a bit higher than YouTube TV. I must say their prices aren't cheap anymore.

I might look into bootlegging the games.
