So Warrow tweets out of no where about internal issues and says I've said enough? Bullcrap, if he can't say anything more about what kind of issues because he's afraid of losing respect of the Bills, then maybe he shouldn't have said anything at all. Wouldn't the Bills be ticked he even said that much and not give him as much access? He's doing this so we all click on follow and read everything he has to say, it's all for clicks.

I'm not saying it's all sunshine and roses at OBD, I'd be pissed if we just lost 2 games like that as well, but for Warrow to just throw that out there and say he said enough is crap. I've lost all respect for him.

To be honest, I didn't have much respect for him before this. The guy is a jackhole on Twitter, and if you listen to Bills press conferences historically, he always asks inane questions that seem more self gratuitous than good journalism. He just always comes off like an arrogant douche. This latest episode is just another example of why he sucks

I usually catch a nice nap when I hear him asking a question. Usually he is finishing up the question by the time I wake up

True. If Allen hadn’t fumbled, it’s likely a safety instead of a touchdown. Or, maybe, best case scenario, they get back to the line of scrimmage. Still, a bad coaching decision.

Morse got blown off the ball (red arrow below). Just like the interior o-line had been blown off the ball all day. There was just very little chance of success on this play. Looking at it over and over, maybe Josh can hop and push to the right for one yard? If that happened, then they’re in the same situation. 2nd and 9 from the 1 yard line and they still can’t kneel the ball.

You can't kneel from the 1?

Your imagination is a sight to behold sometimes.

It wasn't that long ago that Andy Reid was considered an "idiot" that couldn't win the big one.

Cool. So when McD gets fired after wasting all this roster talent and wins a SB with another team....How does that help the Bills?

I'd be cool with firing McD now and hiring Eric Bieniemy as HC.

Is this 11 pages of speculation based on one tweet?

No, it's (now) 18 pages of Bills-related discussion, inspired by one Tweet.

Half of it is garbage, but half of every thread here is garbage.

It's the first tweet I find funny:

The Bills have not answered questions in regards to their ability to win in the clutch, despite comeback wins over Baltimore and KC.

This makes zero sense. That's like saying "Mr Arnold has shown he isn't able to do a full day's work despite doing two full days of work this year".

He literally points out in the tweet that they won 2 clutch games. So what he really means is "the Bills continue to be inconsistent in the clutch".

And this is a journalist?

Journalist and Warrow, two words that don't go together.

The next shiny toy. Here's an idea. Let's just fix what we have now.

Not sure where else to put this so might as well put it here.  Interesting take from an NFL insider:

"As for the end-of-game issues, Buffalo should be in better position than most to avoid them, as a team with a head coach who doesn’t call plays and therefore can focus more on situational ball. But these are tricky situations to evaluate. If the Chiefs seem better-equipped to handle them, some of that could stem from their offensive orientation through coach Andy Reid.

“The Bills are where we all want to be, constantly on primetime, and winning a lot of games that aren’t very close,” a coach from another team said. “I really don’t think this is something that is in the mindset of their team. But just think about how good Kansas City is at the end of the half or late in the games. Most of these situations are on offense. They teach everyone who catches the ball to call timeout and they constantly score and they take defensive timeouts to get into those situations. Since Kansas City is trying to do it, they are good at it. Buffalo is trying to be good at it more erratically and at unplanned times, so it is harder to be as good at it.”"

So basically - this coach is suggesting that having a defense-minded HC is part of the issue with the Bills' lack of execution at the end of games.  I don't fully follow this, as (i) the "13 seconds" debacle had nothing to do with the offense; and (ii) Belicheck is a defensive HC and is one of the best ever at situational football.

But it's still interesting.

The issue that can be seen from thousands of miles away is just this: the QB is not taking what the defense is giving him, he is not spreading the ball around and involving players who are busting their asses to get open play after play - and who then face press and public criticism for "not contributing".  There aren't necessarily enough adjustments to the adjustments the opponent makes.  But more critically, the QB is just not taking care of the ball.  He's going for the kill shot when he has time, and the underneath stuff that would move the chains is there.

How much of this is on McDermott and how much on Dorsey, or whether it's just having made him a $258 million man, he's become "above criticism" in the facility, I don't know.

I think it's an educated guess that the internal issues relate to this.

Not sure if I understand you correctly but this doesn't make much sense. Are you implying that if there are internal issues they are related to the fact that some offensive players are not targeted and are mad about it?

If yes, who do you have in mind? Since I don't see it.

Davis gets enough targets and he is the last one who should be complaining about anything.

I can't imagine KcKenzie being like this. Maybe I am misreading him.

Knox is one of Josh's best friends, isn't he? Do you think he has a problem with him?

Crowder is on IR. Shakir is humble rookie. Singletary gets targets. Cook is also a rookie.

So who?

Here’s my guess.  Everyone is angry and frustrated.  I know (second hand) that offense and defense were at each other’s throats on the plane home after the KC loss last year.  I wonder if some of that animus has carried over into this year, especially when the offense screwed up last week’s game and the D couldn’t close the door yesterday.

And, on top of that, we’re at a point where we have a $17m corner who inexplicably isn’t playing, a WR2 who is out to lunch this year, a mouthy slot receiver who just isn’t cutting it, a franchise QB who is snake bit right now, a bunch of dudes on D (Poyer and Edmunds, specifically) who probably look at White and shake their heads and then wonder why Miller got paid when they won’t.   Add in another catastrophic loss that could be attributed in part to coaching (that’s not where my blame lies, but I can see how some would put it there) and this is probably not a very happy day at One Bills Drive.

The solution to all of this, of course, is winning.

Something like this makes A LOT of sense.

Just two notes. I do agree that in order to have good team chemistry a GM should think twice if they plan to pay an "outsider", but if any defensive player is wondering why specifically Miller got paid then I don't know what to tell him.

On the other hand, there is something weird going on with Tre, that's for sure. I am not blaming him for anything, I have no idea what is going on, but the whole situation just feels off.

And exactly like you say. Winning solve everthing, and losing does the exact opposite.

he's not wrong. like ever. after having many good conversations with him - he does not BS. he knows the team. he knows the players . and his takes are usually on point.

he cannot discuss certain things due to two reasons:

1) he does not want to jeopardize his relationships

2) he works for the AP not the NYT or WAPO so he can't just BS a headline and write his own narrative. he has integrity with what he writes.

if wawrow is writing it down than it is so.

Yeah, but doesn’t he violate that with throwing out the tidbit of internal issues?
