to add- we need to start wagging our dick in china AND russia's faces.  The thing that always gets 'strongmen' in the end is that they're secretly just vain, paranoid pussies, terrified of losing power.  Trump is a vain, paranoid ***** too.

But we're looking down at everyone from the high ground and have the advantage with an old, demented, tired, and ineffective fake President leading a corrupt and dysfunctional federal bureaucracy and Pentagon leadership that thinks the best way to fight the Russians and Chinese is by enlisting and deploying men wearing dresses and wigs!  Yup, we've got 'em all right were we want them.

If the FBI thinks this makes sense….release the warrant to the public.

Sure - that works too.

I’m putting my money on there being something really nefarious about Trump stealing classified documents - and not returning all of them - when asked several times… wonder if those documents made it to a third party?

The truth will come out - it always does when concerning the most corrupt administration in our lifetime.

Buckle up

Generally, the FBI doesn’t make many public statements about raids, but I believe they leave a copy of the warrant with the person whose place they raided. If so, Trump himself can make it public.

Frankly, it’s a bit surprising how surprising this was. No leaks, nothing. Given that, I suspect the FBI will remain quiet on this until it takes further action.

Yeah, facts and history are NOT on your side when considering the most corrupt administration in our lifetime.

So the guy that's running a family crime organization that took millions in payoffs from Chinese state run organizations & who knows who else, and while overseeing US policy under Obama stole US aid money for Ukraine is less corrupt than Trump?  Unless the big guy is cutting you in for a slice of his 10% you might want to reconsider that assessment.  This administration and this government are not your buddies and whatever they end up doing to screw people you see at the opposition, they're going to end up screwing you the exact same way too.

This is a provocation. They are trying to get a reaction that allows a further crackdown.

Don’t take the bait. Being stupid isn’t tough, it’s just stupid.

I flipped back and forth between CNN and MSNBC. At least when I watched, they were not engaging in the expected celebrations. There was a palpable dread that this could backfire against the Democrats. Bigly.

Be smart.

Read the whole thing.

I did read the whole thing. And I did watch some CNN and MSNBC. Where Jacobson (author of legalinsurrection) saw “dread” in the eyes of the CNN/MSNBC hosts/commenters is a mystery to me. They weren’t doing a victory dance, but it is clear they enjoyed having another Trump scandal/abuse of power to report on. Trumpies: emerge from your echo chamber every so often. Only Trump’s 30% “I could shoot someone on 5th Ave and they’d still love me” thinks this plays in his favor.

I do not want Trump to be the R nominee.  I’ll gladly take DeSantis or Youngkin over him.. but they better have something or you’re going to be very disappointed in how well this plays for him.

Far more than 30% of Americans are currently uneasy with what just happened as we wait to see this play out.

Do the 30% need a safe space to go to?

That's likely because they are being told false information and conspiracies about what's going on. If they were truly upset at Hillary having classified info on her home server, they should be livid that Trump took 15 boxes of physical documents, including classified documents, to his private residence.

At some point, we can't just cater to the looniest Americans. Ensuring that there are no more classified documents at Mar A Lago is worth upsetting people who would be upset at literally anything that dared challenge their God King.

Were they certain that they got all of them?

When looking at the documents provided, did they find evidence of crimes?

The person who could give us more info on this is Trump, since he has a copy of the search warrant and could make it public if he wanted to.

Early reports that the F.B.I. search of former President Donald J. Trump’s residence in Florida related to an investigation into whether he had unlawfully taken government files when he left the White House focused attention on an obscure criminal law barring removal of official records. The penalties for breaking that law include disqualification from holding any federal office.

Specifically, the law in question — Section 2071 of Title 18 of the United States Code — makes it a crime if someone who has custody of government documents or records “willfully and unlawfully conceals, removes, mutilates, obliterates, falsifies or destroys” them.

If convicted, defendants can be fined or sentenced to prison for up to three years. In addition, the statute says, if they are currently in a federal office, they “shall forfeit” that office, and they shall “be disqualified from holding any office under the United States.”

History of Judge Who Signed Off on Trump Raid Raises All Kinds of Red Flags

The warrant was rubber-stamped by Magistrate Judge named Bruce Reinhardt.

As Ron Coleman points out, that’s highly suspect given the profile of the situation.

Why did a low-level, unconfirmed, unappointed magistrate judge sign off on the most consequential FBI warrant in decades? If any warrant application demanded the eyes of a real judge, it would be one targeting the former President of the United States. Yet, this judge was happy to give the FBI what they wanted while the FBI was happy to accept.

It's not a raid.  My god.  Calm down with your BS takes.

“I don’t know,” Mr. Trump said. “I haven’t really been following it too much. I just wish her well, frankly.”

“I’ve met her numerous times over the years, especially since I lived in Palm Beach, and I guess they lived in Palm Beach,” the president continued, referring to the Florida town where his Mar-a-Lago resort is and where Mr. Epstein had a home. “But I wish her well, whatever it is.”

It was 1992, and Mr. Houraney had flown two dozen or so women in for what was supposed to be a “calendar girl” competition at Mar-a-Lago. The only guests, it turned out, were Mr. Trump and Mr. Epstein.

Mr. Houraney, who at the time had just teamed up with Mr. Trump to host events at his casinos, was taken aback.

“I said, ‘Donald, this is supposed to be a party with V.I.P.s,’” he recalled. “‘You’re telling me it’s you and Epstein?’”

The first tweet is dead on. FBI raiding an ex-presidents home... nearly 90,000 IRS agents hired, 96% of which are hired to go after people and taxes (not making the process quicker as the administration touts) which will NO DOUBT effect the middle and even lower class filers and you have ATF agents going to LEGAL GUN OWNERS HOMES asking to see their LEGAL firearms.

Welcome to Biden's Nazi America

It's funny what all these people who claim to support "Law and Order" and downplayed or dismissive of criminal justice reform in 2020 are now out screaming secession and tyranny.

If you have an issue with a legally obtained warrant issued on the correct address with no one being killed, and don't have it when police kick down the wrong door and kill someone, really ask yourself why you're upset.

so the FBI search of Mar a Lago is a deep state democratic plot to elect a republican president in 2024?

The GOP nominee, yes.  The only one they feel they can beat - so their best chance to win.

Meaning they better find something.  But they won't.  If there was anything, they would have gotten rid of it at least 2 months ago.

The thing is that the left has no one to run who has a chance no matter who it's against.
