doesn't look likely. He sold his home and is building a house in Nashville

He sold his home in California, not his residence in Green Bay.

The packers had a great team. Rogers just s*** the bed in the playoffs. Geez, I don't know if he made even one Allen type play in that playoff game vs. the niners....I can't recall one.

Thank the lord we have Allen.

Go Bills!

"Allen type play"?  More like he didn't even make a Ryan Tannehill type play in that game.

I could see the pull of Tenn outside of football for him too. Tenn aligns with his views on a lot of things.

Agree.  Not only that but the climate is pretty mild, Nashville is a very popular metro, and the housing costs there are a fraction of those in California.

On Wednesday, a new report linked the Green Bay quarterback to Nashville, the home of the Tennessee Titans, amid uncertainty about his NFL future.

Rodgers purchased land in Franklin, Tenn., and is currently building a house in the Nashville suburb, according to Jared Stillman of 102.5 “The Game,” who said the reigning Super Bowl MVP would be “open” to joining the Titans.

If im Rodgers im going to San Fran or Tampa. The AFC is loaded with QBs and would be a lot harder to make the Superbowl in the American conference. San Francisco should have made it to the Superbowl except Garrapolo has bone head interceptions, if Rodgers is there they could be lethal and he would finally have a team around him instead of being the one man gang.

So he has already orchestrated a trade…whoa

We heard the same story last year. Here's what's about to happen.

Rodgers talk will be intensified. Packers slap the franchise tag on Adams. Packers resign MVS. Rodgers takes it down to the wire for maximum attention. Retirement talk is on the table. Rodgers reports to Packers training camp. Packers lose in playoffs.

Added bonus spoiler: Russ Wilson will remain a Seahawk.

This would not be good.

The AFC is stacked as it is with qbs.

Need to hope Watson doesn't somehow end up in our division too.

I don't think the Titans can afford it with the hit they would take on Tannehill by trading or cutting him. Definitely wouldn't want Rodgers on the Titans. They would become one of the favorites with Rodgers, Henry, Brown.

You may be correct. He's still under contract and I'm not sure the Pack will trade him (at least for a realistic price).  If they do decide to send him on his way, it won't be to an NFC team.

I know Nashville is a popular spot for retired NFL players i have had the chance to drive Mark Bulger, Jared Allen & Keith Bullock which all live outside of Nashville in my time here & i would imagine there are more than just those guys that live here & with Nashville now being a destination with all there is to do I would imagine there will be more coming here in the future .

I spent a week in TN this summer and I could have sworn that COVID didn't exist.  I was there for an event (member/guest at my buddy's country club) and there were zero precautions with anything.  No judgement either way, just saying.

Tannehill’s contract is a $38M cap hit for this season.  Unless Rodgers plans to play for $0, I can’t see this happening

A good friend of mine who is very successful/wealthy moved to Nashville last year and bought a huge house there.  He did so just before selling a business for a large chunk of change.  I don't know the specifics of the tax situation there, but I think it's a lot more favorable for the wealthy than many other places.  That could be a reason Rodgers wants to establish a residence there (and many other former NFL players, as mentioned above).  In addition to the tax situation, it also seems to generally be a hot market for people to move to these days.  It's too humid for my tastes, but a lot of people like the weather, the real estate is plentiful and reasonable compared to other big market cities, and there's a lot to do there.  This board always rates it highly as one of top away game destinations.

Back to the original post, I don't think Rodgers is going to the Titans - I think that he's acquiring real estate there for the other reasons I mentioned.

At this point in his career, could be more of a retirement home.  Really doubt he'd be building a house in a location where he has no idea yet if that's where he ends up.  He could easily wait till he's traded, then start to build

Since GB has to trade him, I think it’s likely that he ends up in the AFC (Denver or Tennessee).

True, but Rodgers has to agree to it and as many have pointed out, does he really want to go the QB rich AFC?
