Bills a rumored suitor for Kareem Hunt trade

Recommended Posts

Is there any reason why the Browns are looking to trade him? Is he asking for more playing time? Is it a cap thing? Because if this is a playing time issue unless they are trading Singletary for him he isn't likely to get much more playing time with the Bills and thus won't be happy here.

Probably about to give Chubb a big contract and allocation of resources says paying two RBs is no bueno. They would be wise to draft one to play behind Chubb.

He paid his dues.  Was suspended for 6-8 games.  These are young guys.  Things sometimes get out of hand a bit when young people are partying.  Not condoning what he did.  But Joe Mixon got a second chance after knocking out the gal at Oklahoma.  If he keeps his nose clean, and continues to behave, he would be a great pick up for us.  Its pro football.  Its not tea w the Royal Family.  Lets not forget that.

Yeah, sometimes things get out of hand when you're young, and next thing you know you're kicking a woman in the face in a hotel lobby. Happens to all of us...

No thanks. Agree that you can find the same with far less baggage. Would rather have Kenyan Drake.

Yeah, I can see where you’re coming from. Think we all make mistakes, but how long must we hang this over his head for? At what point is the debt repaid, especially if his past behavior has been remediated?

Then again, what you just said isn’t the way it happened either...so there’s that too.

Again, people need to reread the facts.

That's a dramatic recap of what's on tape.

Any kind of violence towards women is unacceptable, of course. But his action was not exactly as you're describing.

I mean, at what point do you say the guy served his suspension & moved on?

I think a lot of teams likely have already done that.  Kim Pegula being the owner is what makes me think this wouldn't happen.  It's much more (to me) about a female owner than it is about a guy who's served his suspension.  I'm not saying he shouldn't be in the NFL; I'm not even saying he shouldn't be a Bill someday.  I'm just saying I'd be surprised if Kim Pegula signed off on it.

Lotta historical family context with Hunt, by the way: https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/chiefs/2018/12/14/ex-chiefs-star-kareem-hunt-family-criminal-history/2289525002/. His family's catalog of criminal episodes is ... impressive.

I dunno about the people here acting like I'm supposed to want to forgive this guy for kicking a woman. Plenty of us have been out drinking and not proceeded to punt a lady, we're not talking about some common occurence here and some of you are acting like we're mad at him for peeing in the bushes. I don't want him on my team, ever.

2 years left for $11.25M is, IMO a very fair and tradeable contract.....

Bills don't have a 4th rounder and not sure I'd want to part with a 3rd for him, but I don't think a 5th is enough.

Maybe a pick swap?

Yeah he didn't kick her in the head that's just not what happened. The most violent thing he did was pushing a guy who then knocked her over.

The guy is an absolute beast. He brings an intensity to his game that we don’t have in the RB room right now.

As for his past indiscretions and despicable behavior...I don’t know him so I can’t defend him. I will only say that when I watched the video after hearing the reports, I was expecting a Ray Rice type altercation, and it ended up being much “less” (but still despicable). More along the lines of a bad decision in one of those crazy situations only encountered by the rich/famous.

The female wasn’t a family member/girlfriend or something like that to make it a domestic issue. Didn’t seem like a chronic issue just from the LIMITED info I have (and please educate me if I’m wrong as I’m not a web researcher). Just a bad ending to a party night.

Lots of excuse making here for a person claiming to NOT be defending him/his actions. But I don’t think he’s an auto “No”. I also haven’t heard/seen anything bad about him since the incident.  (Again please educate me if I’m missing something).

Just some food for thought.

If OBD decides he’s a fit, I trust their judgement and would LOVE to see him shredding Ds as a Bill

It really isn't though. I just watched the video before posting to make sure I wasn't speaking out of turn. He kicks in the direction of her "head and upper body" if you must.

Come on. It's not even a real kick, if you want to be more precise. It's like a feint, to be honest. He makes more contact than anyone should, but it's not traumatic force at all. Designed more to embarrass than it was to injure (by my eye). And I'm not one to be forgiving of such transgressions, I assure you.

Then he apparently has terrible aim because it looked like he hit her closer to her shin.
