Kirby Jackson
This is sad news for UB. They were set to be loaded. I honestly think that they would have cracked the rankings at some point during the season.
Buffalo_Stampede
They are young enough to be strong next year but this does suck. I'm guessing the Mac will allow all seniors a chance to play next year.

I’ll admit that I’m surprised that forecasting this season as unplayable makes teams think that come Jan/feb they will be able to kick off. just seems they would be making that decision to play or not in the heart of when the spike they are avoiding in the fall would be happening

Chandler#81
Not unexpected, but sad nonetheless. When the big Div.1 schools cut out games against inferior competition, the writing was on the wall.

YoloinOhio
Sucks, but makes financial sense. With the power 5s only playing in conference this season, the MAC programs lose a ton of money all of their “buy games”.

If your income is from fans in attendance I am sorry, this year will suck. I though am quite sure they will play since the TV contracts are too large and the players all want to showcase themselves for the NFL. Also besides possibly the lineman the players in college are more likely to die from the flu than Covid.
Seasons1992
I'm not pleased, as a proud Ohio University graduate. But I get it. Again............I'm addicted to crack.................just give me my Buffalo Bills in some fashion. Even if it's a 32 team Royal Rumble for a few weeks without a season. Names will be placed in those little plastic eggs that come in the 25 cent vending machines in supermarket lobbies. Every round's order will be randomly decided. You put your quarter in, and you get what you get. The draft will be administered by Larry Thomas (Seinfeld's Soup Nazi). After 12 rounds, the New England Patriots will be awarded an extra roll of quarters. ?
Mike in Horseheads
ND was supposed to play WMU as their one ACC nonconference game so they have a open slot now. 2 minutes ago, Ridgewaycynic2013 said: 'Draft' my foot. I honestly think that they would have cracked the rankings at some point during the season. Would've been really tough to crack the top 25 Especially with Just a all MAC conference schedule. Just not enough firepower on the schedule and they're really good but I don't even know if they could go undefeated in the Mac this season. Maybe a 7-1 6-2 Mac season The Mac is just a league of matchups. And unfortunately you can't match up good against everybody. There's a few teams that could give UB problems I did expect a MAC championship tho when all was said and done 51 minutes ago, Dr.Sack said: UB seniors and red shirt juniors should be allowed on the Bills practice squad. KSU would've been a hell of a game. Probably tougher than Minnesota in 2017. And they're super physical. Wouldve been rough to pull off but would've been great I don't know if Matt Myers or vantrease could handle that for 4 quarters tho Edited August 8, 2020 by Buffalo716
C.Biscuit97
This sucks. Thanks to all the idiots who cried like like female dogs about wearing masks and their “rights” being violated. It’s only going to get worse. I am trying so hard to be positive about the Bills season but it’s so hard to see how it makes it all the way through. hope everyone got their haircuts though! also, the players from P5 can really stick it too conferences if they really wanted to push it. They have these schools over the barrel. Edited August 8, 2020 by C.Biscuit97

I could have seen a win at K State to start the year and then some momentum. They could have beaten everyone but Ohio State. If they had gotten to 7-1, 8-1 or whatever they would have been very much in the mix to be ranked. They could have been viewed like App State or someone like that. It's possible they can beat KState but that was gonna be a hell of a dogfight. Idk if they have enough firepower for 4 quarters and lose a close one Miami OH, Ohio and Toledo all pose very good threats as well at some point in the season or MAC championship. There is not a huge difference between teams Also it comes down to quarterback for UB. They went for Matt Myers last year in the beginning which was a mistake and I knew it, vantrease is better and more steady, but it would probably all come down to how much he improved from last year I could see them winning the MAC championship but being a 3-4 loss team. Honestly 2021 is going to be really good Edited August 8, 2020 by Buffalo716

PromoTheRobot
So just for argument sake, you have 6 northeastern schools that want to play: Syracuse, UB, Boston College, Rutgers, Pitt and Penn State. Could they create a one-off conference and play 10 games? Could they find some last- minute TV money?
