The Next Pandemic: SARS-CoV-2/COVID-19

But vaccinated people have died from COVID.  Virtually, I say this.  And more people have died from adverse side effects from the COVID vaccines than all deaths from all other vaccines administered in the past 25 years.  If this was a "normal" time the CDC would most surely stop the vaccinations.  But its not so the "safe and effective" narrative continues to get played.

Here's the other thing.  About 1/2 of all workers at the CDC have declined to get vaccinated.  The CDC.  Think about what that means.  These are not uninformed, uneducated hillbillies running around touting conspiracy theories.  These are medical professionals that are among the most informed about COVID and the vaccines.  So what exactly is their concern?  Wouldn't it be beneficial to listen to what they have to say?  Rather than flippantly dismiss anyone with a concern.  Same thing with a large number of first responders and hospital workers that have been on the front lines since the beginning of the pandemic.  Why are they, once again, among the most informed hesitant to get vaccinated?  Its not because they are uninformed.  Quite the opposite.  Its because they are informed.  Instead of just swallowing the official message hook, line, and sinker maybe people need to start doing some thinking for themselves?  And start asking critical questions to official and experts and demanding answers not just more double-speak and evasive slogans.

As for me I thought long and hard about it but eventually decided to get vaccinated with my second shot about 3 weeks ago.  But that doesn't mean I accept the idea there's no risk to it.  I just decided to roll the dice.  Like the rest of you that got vaccinated whether you realize that or want to accept that there is a risk.  When you got vaccinated with these Moderna or Pfizer gene therapy experimental vaccines you took that risk just like I did.  If you want to pretend or believe or fool yourself into thinking there's no risk then that's your choice.

Can you please fact check that 1/2 of CDC employees refuse vaccine?

thanks

OK, the story I saw indicated about 50% of CDC staff had been vaccinated.  But "assumed" the remainder either refused or had reservations.  Assumed.  So most likely less.

EXCLUSIVE: Robert Redfield, the former director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, explained the reasoning behind his opinion that a lab leak was the most likely explanation for the COVID-19 pandemic’s origins, in a wide-ranging interview with Fox News.

Former CDC director Redfield explains why he believes COVID-19 emerged from lab, WHO 'compromised'

Redfield argued COVID-19’s efficient human-to-human spread contradicted the behavior of other deadly coronaviruses with similar profiles, such as SARS and MERS, which first reached humans through animal contact but spread at a much slower pace.

"When I said before that I didn't think it was biologically plausible that COVID-19 went from a bat to some unknown animal into man and now had become one of the most infectious viruses," Redfield said, "That's not consistent with how other coronaviruses have come into the human species.

And, it does suggest that there's an alternative hypothesis that it went from a bat virus, got into a laboratory, where in the laboratory, it was taught, educated, it evolved, so that it became a virus that could efficiently transmit human to human."

The "story" was based on a remark that Fauci made in a hearing where he estimated that 50-60% of the CDC employees were fully vaccinated in May.

Somehow folks with agendas turned that into 50% of CDC employees refused the vaccine.

We are getting somewhere. Now fact check the VAERs data about people dying "from" the vaccine and that statement goes away too.

New York lifts 'virtually all' COVID-19 restrictions effective immediately, Gov. Cuomo announces

Coming out to a standing ovation in Manhattan's One World Trade Center, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced that "we can now return to life as we know it" because the state hit his required threshold of a 70% first-dose vaccination rate.

"Remember June 15th. Remember today, because it is the day that New York rose again," Cuomo said, adding that June 15 is also his late father and former New York Gov. Mario Cuomo's birthday.

.....

....

...

Counties and localities can still implement their own restrictions, and Cuomo added that New York will still observe CDC guidance. Individual businesses can also keep their own mask policies.

The announcement did not provide any clarity on mask and social distancing measures in schools.

Actual doctors don't seem to have reservations.

More than 96% are fully vaccinated against COVID-19, with no significant difference in vaccination rates across regions, according to a new survey from the American Medical Association (AMA).

Even among the 4% not yet vaccinated, 45% said they do plan to get their vaccine.

They didn't use the hospital set up in the Seahawks stadium parking lot either.

That's the thing I didn't understand.  They had us shelter at home to make sure hospitals were not overwhelmed while the mercy ship sat empty in the LA harbor.

Chef: This shouldn't be difficult to understand. Trump let the Governors handle their response just the way that government is supposed to work...closest to the source.  He promised he'd support them with supply lines, just the way it's handled during a war...away from the front lines.  They felt they needed a hospital, so he got them one. He didn't hesitate or ask "do you really need one"?  And then after he got the troops exactly what they needed, requested and then some, they turned around and blamed him for the war. Disgusting!

Wrong again. First he got them what they requested and then he still had time to golf. Not too shabby!

Covid horror: Russia discovers new 'Moscow' strain as cases soar across the country

Dubbed the "Moscow" strain, they are urgently investigating whether it is resistant to current vaccines. Russia has seen a spike in infections of the deadly virus, leading to the imposition of new restrictions in Moscow and Saint Petersburg. On Sunday health authorities reported more than 14,700 Covid cases, which represents the largest one-day tally since February.

Experts believe that the new strain could be driving the explosion in infections.

Living a life wondering where you need a vaccine pass, mask, or negative test is absolutely asinine.

That’s why states like FL and TX are so enticing. Freedom does that.

We’re back to large crowds, in fact, we never didn’t have large crowds gathering in cities across the country all last year as people died in large numbers. Surely you know this.

Tens of thousands of people from all walks of life coming together, huddling closely at times, animated in speech and physical contact, often returning home to spread the virus in some of communities at highest risk in the country.  What was hard to understand we’re the crickets chirping or worse yet—politicians and civic leaders encouraging the behavior.  How many lives lost there?

On the other hand, If you’re only talking about the compliant folk wanting to gather, that’s happening as well and has been for some time. Surely you know this as well.

As for your suggestion, if I had immunity after having COVID, I personally would be willing to listen to the  “extra double immunity” angle, but more importantly “we’re not sure how long your immunity will last”.  Not saying I’d Vax up, and I probably wouldn’t until more data came out, but I’d listen.

I would also support someone else unwilling to listen to either argument and just push forward, knowing the risk, knowing the numbers and knowing the science that seems to contradict “just get the damn Vax” crowd. Based on the numbers, it’s exceptionally likely they would be absolutely fine and would pose no threat to others.

But, it’s a nasty ripper of a bug to some people, we agree there.

Informed choice is the key.  Tolerance helps as well.

On this, I think you’re overstating, btw.  I’m speak with folks in various fields including areas of which you speak.  Some certainly echoed what you said, others not at all.  There is not universal consensus among all health care workers and physicians that the Vax is the only answer.

A few are worried because they hear all conspiracy BS.. PS My Mom and Uncle had polio and suffered greatly til Vax wiped it out... sorry I have no patience for anti vaxxers... after seeing 11 people a day for a month... nurses, a receptionist and a nun die as well as an eight year old... im tired of internet sleuths who push BS misinformation... Get vaxxed and lets move on.

My father survived polio, my mother lost the majority of her hearing due to constant ear infections throughout her youth and spent her working years as a registered nurse providing aid, comfort and compassion to the sick, injured and dying.  My sister and several other family members followed her in that noble pursuit.  My sister-in-law is a pediatrician, my brother-in-law, nephew, niece and two of my three children had COVID.  My brother-in-law chooses at this point to go with the theory of COVID immunity. My sister-in-law sees no problems with that decision.

With due respect to you and yours, there are people who suffer and survive and see it differently than you do and to reduce to calling derisively calling them “internet sleuths” adds little to the discussion.

Sorry to hear of your experiences, the stories that come out of this crisis are often tragic.

One can only wonder how much better it might have been had those folks who chose to protest in violation of lockdown rules and CDC guidance been provided better guidance and advice about the dangers of gathering in massive groups.  Or, if there was honest dialogue about the nature of the virus initially.  I’d think lots of skeptical folks might well have treaded cautiously had there been honest dialogue that the root cause of the virus might well have been an escaped virus from a research lab.
