Former Bills Coach Hank Bullough Passes at 85

He ranks right up there with Harvey Johnson for most unworthy Head Coach. Even with Kelly, Bruce, Reed, Ritcher, Talley, Ken Jones, Metzalars & Robb Riddick, we were in disarray under his ‘leadership’. Bounce Hank and immediately defeat Division Leader Steelers.

 But ..um.. Rest In Peace.

...Jesus "81"......in Buffalo Lore, we have SO MANY in the unworthy category......albeit GM's (or those thought to be), HC's, OC's DC's , players and an OCCASIONAL beerman.....the list could rival "War And Peace".....

RIP for Harvey, but I think he stands alone - 2 - 23 - 1.

Bruce Smith was on OBD last (?) week and recalled Hank having a positive impact on him.

Bruce is a gentleman and knows it's much better to speak positively about other people.

Well, look at the big picture.  Without that horrible record, the Bills wouldn't have had the draft picks that made the great years possible.

So That’s the ticket?? Create hate & discontent in the locker room so the team sucks and refuses to play? It had nothing to do with trading a 1st Round pick AND Greg Bell which brought TThomas & Cornelius Bennett? Shatcanning him for Marv Levy?  I’m a Big Picture guy. That’s a narrow window you’re peeping through.

RIP Hank.

One of the worst coaches in a long list of bad Bills coaches. Greggo made Hank look like a Mensa member

the horror led to the Kelly Era, mediocrity since Kelly has led to......  for two decades....

hopefully this turns the tanker around

Late in the 2005 season, as the Bills were crashing to a 5-11 record, Mike Mularkey opined "They took the sails right out of our wind". He channeled Hank Bullough and I knew he was on his way out.

was he the one who went on a mini-tirade about the media persecution? the only time he had a pulse as coach?

Lol... I didn't see any thread with his name mentioned in the title but there already was one.

Me too.

I saw the other one after I posted here.  Whoever started that thread thinks like me. He should do something about that!!

Think he also said " he's got a great work ethnic"

Fred Smerlas couldn’t stand Bullough.

With saying that, RIP, Coach.

When the players were trying to get Hank fired, he was one of the vets on the team that basically told the younger players not to make a tackle

I wonder if Fred Smerlas will attend the funeral? (I know he hated Bullough)

Fred was quoted as saying”ding, *****, the witch is dead” when Bullough was fired.

I wonder what Fred thinks today?

Funny thing is......outside of Coach Knox, Fred was not a coaches favorite.

Bruce was a fat blob in 1985, he showed up in 1986 much leaner after becoming a stair master warrior.  For that alone, Hank deserves some (mala)props from us.

I believe that's exactly what he said, Hank taught him the importance of taking care of his body.
