Nextmanup
I live a bit further north than where this car was found. Those pond things the car is in are all over the place around here. My housing community has them as well. I agree the car is very close to land and I'm shocked no one saw the car. In my community, I see kids and other people screwing around at the edge of those bodies of water all the time. Sometimes fishing in them (!?) and so on. Can't believe no one saw the car! The “lake” I lived on in Lantana people had a paddle boats and were out often. Must be a very deep lake to not be seen or noticed.
Just Jack
Its the perfect crime. Get rid of the nosy neighbor, put him in a car, then send it into the local pond. When the statue of limitations run out, "hey! Look what I found!"

DC Tom
I'm betting he was "last seen" driving northeast on Lake Isle Drive at a high rate of speed, and 20 years ago those palm trees and that guardrail weren't there.
KD in CA
I bet a decent % of people that vanish without a trace end up like this. Lots of bad drivers and lots of bodies of water out there.

Wacka
Had a couple disappear driving from San Jose to San Francisco on a Friday evening on Route 101 (10 lanes). The whole area is heavily developed. Cops searched for a few days and finally someone spotted a car had run off the road into a very marshy and weedy area. At least 10k cars passed by that spot. They found the couple drowned in the front seat of their submerged car.

Rocket94
There was a similar case some years back in Seattle. A woman mysteriously vanished.
