Chiefs are not a Super Bowl team. You still need defense in the playoffs.

I don 't know if that is as true as it once was...it seems like 350-400 yard passing games are becoming the norm.  The Vikings/Rams game tonight...the Bucs/Steelers game on Monday...what constitutes a "good defense" anymore?

Given last week’s performance we may MAY have one

You need a defense at some point

Is that still true? The game has changed so much. The Eagles won the SB and let up 500 yards IIRC. That’s really bad but they made one play at the end for the victory. Why can’t the Chiefs do that?

I don’t think they will make the SB but that’s because I think Andy Reid will out think himself and lose a game that he shouldn’t have.

Its one game. They had the number two defense in the league last year. Look at the defense in the conference title games.

That’s kinda the point. The number two defense in the league couldn’t even force a punt in the biggest game of the season. That’s with an extra week of preparation. What was the Pats defense ranked? They got torched by Nick freaking Foles.

It seems that defense gets harder to play after each and every rule change. I expect that trend to continue, under the guise of “safety” they have molded this game into something totally different than I grew up watching. The average QB rating for a few weeks was like 105, for the entire NFL. That’s higher than Rodgers career rating.

How could this be a pre Super bowl match. According some on here ( me Billsareback and now i’m 17 Josh Allen ) and Jeff’s magic tried to tell you about how great Mahomes was. But we were Ridiculed and run off two bills drive. We were told that Mahomes was horrible and not even a 4th round pick. He was the worst of the worst. You were glad the Bills traded out of the 10th pick. Me and Jeffsmagic warned you that Andy Reid knew what he was doing. He saw in Mahomes what me and Jeffs magic did. We both predicted  the Chiefs would become the dominate team in the AFC and would be playing in multiple SuperBowls.

Now imagine today I log on and people on this board calling the Chiefs the odds on favorites to represent the AFC in the Super bowl. Yes I’m calling all you Hypocrites out. You have gone into hiding. Stand up and take your medicine.

Well that was 1 game in the run though ..their defence destroyed  Minny and shut down the falcons in a defensive battle

I don't understand.

How is it the SB preview without Buffalo?

What am I missing?

It's not what you're missing, it's what the Buffal Bills are missing.

Who has the D in the AFC?  The Pats are just as bad, as are the Steelers.  And the other favorites have lesser offenses.

I guess the Chargers are a little more balanced.  But I still see this as the Chiefs’ year.

The Chargers can’t beat the Chiefs. They’ve lost to them like 9 straight times or something. They might be the most balanced team in the afc but they lack something to get over the hump. I think they could beat the Pats though.

They lost Perryman on Sunday, that’s going to hurt.

Huge. Their run D is like night and day without him. If they can get Bosa back though for the homestretch that would be great. I’m not optimistic he will be himself this year though even if he comes back. Derwin James is like a Swiss Army knife too out there. DROY.

Could be, their D has improved a lot the last few weeks.
