wppete
We really haven't seen anything from Trent Murphy in Camp or in the first preseason game. He is coming off a very bad knee injury and a PED suspension. Now it seems like he has a groin issue that is keeping him off the field. Should we start to be concerned if we don't see him in the pre season games? Should Bean seriously look into trying to get Khalil Mack if possible? TheBeaneBandit
I would keep him rested as much as possible and have him start the season as a pass rusher only until they are sure he is healthy enough for more work. But groin injuries do scare me...... So unpredictable......

BillsFan17
Absolutely, and im almost ad equally concerned about the Bills fans who dont think we need to upgrade the DE position because we invested money in Murphy.
billsbackto81
It starting to look like he'll only be useful as a pass rushing specialist, but that's not what his salary would indicate. OBD was wise to keep Shaq around. Edited August 17, 2018 by billsbackto81

RoyBatty is alive
Yes we should be very worried. I dont know how much guaranteed money we gave him but this might go down as one of the worst FA signing of al time. If he never plays a down I wont at all be shocked. DrDawkinstein
Not really worried because I've never expected too much. Chandler#81
I didn’t like the signing from the get-go. I expect little to nothing from him. Anything higher than that is a big plus. jmo.

No. You must declare now! Before you know. That way, on the incredibly easy chance that you were correct in predicting a particular failure in the NFL, you can be one of the first to tell everyone "I told you so," and there is no greater thing you can do on a sports team message board than declare to everyone "I told you so." Seriously. Nothing better. Okay. A fried bologna sandwich is better. But then saying "I told you so."

Agreed on their cost. Beane has been taking lower cost gambles on injury return players because we had no cap room and had a bunch of dead money. We have a ton of room next year and I'm sure he'd have no problem going for a big guy like Mack or Donald if they were available. Look what he spent on Star. GOOD point and I apologize for the oversight......with Murphy, would you categorize $10+ mil guaranteed as a lower cost gamble, especially with his ACL AND PED suspension?....now with the nagging groin injury, we may get zero return on the gamble...
