BringBackFergy
So I guess hand size is important for QB’s and WR’s. What about shoe size. Is it indicative of a lengthy career? Does a longer shoe give a player/person better overall power and performance.? Should our team scouts start measuring draft eligible players and free agent’s shoes to gauge their likelihood of success as a player (better stability on the field, greater square inch coverage on the turf for better grip and cutting ability)? Just my thoughts on this subject and thinking about doing an expose on my next cable sports show next Saturday. Feel free to discuss. 1 6

I know during his 2 years here, Rex was personally taking pictures of all the draft eligible players feet when they came in on their visits. I'm not sure if that policy left with him or not, though. ICanSleepWhenI'mDead
Nobody talks about it much, but ear hole size is really important for a QB. When the stadium is rockin' and rollin' against the Patriots at home on Monday night this season, do you want our fate to be decided by a rookie QB with a small ear hole who can't understand the play call from the sidelines on 4th and 3 down 4 points with less than a minute to play? It won't be much fun at the game if everybody has to stop booing the Patriots and complaining about how blind Walt Coleman is so that Mr. Tiny Ear Hole can hear better. Just my 2 drachma. #34fan
Football just prefers BIG... You gotta be big SOMEWHERE to play this sport... Big hands, big feet, big arms, big legs, big heart, big ego... first_and_ten
I don't believe that any studies have been done on length of career/performance based on one's foot size.. Is a person's speed affected by or improved by foot size? If I was to guess, I would think only feet that are unusually big or small would have any affect on performance. K-9
Shoe size is a critical if often ignored factor for QBs. A bigger foot is much more effective for kicking the asses of underperforming linemen and receivers.

BuffaloBillyG
Well what if the foot is normal size but the toes are small? Would this mess with balance? I thing proportional feet are more important than size. Also foot strength. Can't stress that enough. Dragging the second foot and completing the catch going out of bounds. hugely important ! But a larger foot size is also mass. More energy exerted to move it. and perhaps more difficult for cutting, starting and stopping. Read > clumsy ish ? Excellent question. Great opportunities in this thread i might imagine.
