My goodness fellas, lighten up,this is all about adopting a doggie from the SPCA.

Yeah, it is great PR, period. I was impressed and really found it worth the 2.5min of my life to watch.

Yes, he's great in the promotion department.. He does a great job as long as The Pegulas keep him away from the football side of the operation. He sells tickets, which is a very important part of a successful organization. I have a feeling he may be pulling some strings behind the scenes though. I think it's probably very difficult for him to let go of the football decisions. Wasn't he involved in the Rex Ryan hire? And it's been said he's in the draft room and at the scouting combine. It seems unfair that football people are fired for the teams failures but the business side guy remains, even though he is still pulling strings for the football side?

Russ doesn't bother me... he doesn't do anything football related for the Bills. All he does is sale "Hope" every year. I would keep him too...he does that well. The stadium is packed every Sunday

Brandon is President of Pegula Sports Entertainment.  He runs the business side of the Sabres and the Bills.  And he's good at that.  And yes, the President of the organization is there in the room during the draft.  Find me any team where the president is not in the room during the draft.

How do you know this?

He has a job because he’s good at selling tickets.  At least for the Bills.  It sounds like Russ is far removed from Football Operations and that’s a good thing

Agree. I do believe Russ talks to Beane and weighs in. I mean, if you worked for the Bills, wouldn't you? But I don't think it sways Beane's thinking at all.

Whines like a girl scout standing out in the rain crying that nobody is buying any of her cookies?

I understand the sentiment, but getting rid of one of the greatest of all-time brown nosing, jock sniffers, doesn't happen over night.  It is a process that can take years.

Hahaha...

That's awesome. I like this raising awareness for these pups and the SPCA better than what other teams did, like having players' babies dress up as the opposition.

Good job Russ and the marketing department.

Also, for everyone up-thread. The title is a statement, not a question.

Are you the guy that blew his house up after the schedule came out and in the PROCESS set four others on fire?

please explain...

Because all big companies have operating executives?

Literally, I was giving the guy props with how the Bills announced their schedule. I think what they did was a simple, cheap, positive, productive, and impressive way to disseminate the schedule. Plus, I may have been a little high when I watched all the doggos dressed in costumes in the video, and thusly over-impressed.

This is a name I haven't heard in a while.

He has 0 influence when it comes to the football team's construction.

McDermott would body slam Brandon if the latter came into the draft room and started talking strategy.

Exactly, people need to use their brains here. Why would McDermott and beane accept this job if a hack like Brandon has any influences on their decisions.

I have a feeling Brandon lost most of his "football" influence when Whaley was let go, and the bills hired McDermott and beane

.....which he should have and was exactly what he wanted......booted upstairs as Business Administration head of PSE.......he knew he wasn't qualified for organizational positions in football ops.......Marketing is his background......the patchwork FO/Admin years post Polian originated from RW's "trust" being the primary qualifier......hence Brandon, Marv & Buddy.....unqualified and/or over the hill.....think we have it right now....FINALLY.....
