How are you not keeping up with your own conversation?

I defended his argument that they are small schools which is why they don't qualify for the FBS.  That is true.

He then stated those guys didn't go the bigger FCS schools like a UCLA....even said "that's what I'm getting at".

He later brought up Fred Jackson as a reference for D-3 talent....he never compared them.

How do you give yourself so much credit?

He absolutely did.  He said he was looking at guys from small schools like Romo, Roth, and Wentz went to. Then he offers up a kid from a D3 school.  Well that school is nothing like the three that those went to.  So are there two separate topics?  Because if he is looking at small schools like Romo, Roth, and Wents went to he never sees this noodle armed pee-wee baller.

This isn't a D3 school.

Isn't OP the fella who asked if Kyle Orton deserved a place on the wall of fame?  This has got to be another joke that folks are taking seriously.

Why OP thinks its amusing to start this kind of thread I can't account for.

Sorry if my scouting skills upset you. Curt Warner was bagging groceries two years before he won a Superbowl. Ridicule all you want, but his name may appear on the Lombardi trophy some day if he matures as a passer and increases his breakout speed.

Well, from your posting history, its sometimes hard to tell when you are serious and when you are joking.  I have nothing against the fella who I wouldn't know from Adam.  If he turns into a gem, you'll certainly have bragging rights.

First, there's no way we are moving up in the draft to select a QB. If anything we are moving down to acquire more picks.

That being said, we will retain Peterman, have a FA QB battle for starting role and then draft a rookie QB in the 5th or 6th round. I think we'll use the 5th round pick we acquired from Jax (in the Dareus trade) to draft a sleeper pick at QB.

So I watched a lot of film on lesser known QB's...guys that play in small schools like Romo and Roethlisburger did and Wentz. I'm also looking for high character guys and players who have intangibles.

My criteria for selecting a certain "sleeper" QB is as follows:

1) Quick arm, tight spiral

2) Accurate

3) Great footwork. The NFL is all about solid footwork

4) Able to stay in the pocket and survive pressure from elite talent defenders

5) Has a backstory for how he rose to the occasion (like Eddy Yarborough and Richie Incognito)

So after spending about 14 hours reviewing all kinds of sleeper picks and game tape, I give you Remi Issaly of D3 International league/college. If you watch the first 15 seconds you get hit pretty quick with his intangibles as far as tight spiral and footwork. Go to 3:44 and you can see how he handles pressure from fast defensive line and pocket collapse. He has a grip on the ball and straight core, his hip shift is solid and his throwing motion is more Marino than Aikman.

This kid is a gamer and has a record against elite opposition that, in my opinion, will transfer quite well to the NFL. He's worth a late 5th round pick or an early 6th round pick (if we want to move up).

Just my two cents.

Finally had a chance to watch the film.  Does not look NFL ready at all.  Looks more like a recreational league QB.

Fergy is indeed the next ieatcrayonz

France? WTF Fergy.

I think I already said I want a sleeper pick that has a "backstory"...this kid fits the bill. French trained, in a D3 style offense. That means he had a lot of coaching and communication with his coordinators. It's really a no lose situation. Add in his natural ability, there's a lot to groom there.

Finding this video could not have been an easy task.

It would have taken an intense, committed resolve and  I can only wonder what the YouTube search terms were:

"French trained"

"Euro"

"Male First names that end in I"

"Like  Tuel"

"Short Tuel"

"Slow Tuel"

Anyway, thread of the day.  :-)

Remi has a Facebook page, it’s a must read. He graduated from college in 2004. He is a graphic designer. He played in this French league for 7 years. He lists himself as the team’s former QB and president. I think we should go for him. 5’ 10” mid thirties played in a French inturmural league and ran the team as its QB and ran the bussinuss side as president.  I say draft him in the 1st to replace Russ Brandon.

Dual threat, I like your thinking! Athletic ability and brains.
