#34fan
It's Darnold in the first via trade-up, OR the best defensive player available... Riley did some good work at MEM, but he'll be there in the 4th-6th if we want to take a look.
JMF2006
If the Bills decide to double down on QB`s after failing to land a top 5 prospect I hope Joe Ferguson JR is the second of those two QB`s.

Ferguson needs to improve his field vision for the NFL. He consistently locks onto his primary read and stares him down. When Ferguson rolls out of the pocket, his field vision improves and he looks beyond his first read.Read more: http://walterfootball.com/draft2018QB.php#ixzz54FgLmW9ARead more at http://walterfootball.com/draft2018QB.php#HfFjQa3SIXYh6xjg.
Max Fischer
I’ll trust and give McBeane the benefit of the doubt on anything they do but if Bills don’t get Trade up for Rosen (doubtful), Darnold (unlikely) or Allen (perhaps), I’d be happy to stay where they are, select Falk (accurate, scans field, good build) and acquire Smith or one of the MN QBs.

LeGOATski
Haven't watched Ferguson, but I know he's in a really QB-friendly system. They simplify everything in order to go fast and put up big numbers. The QB typically only has a half field read or run. They get WRs wide open. Don't confuse completion % with accuracy.

PolishDave
I literally don't care which QB they draft, as long as they are right about whoever it is. Don't care if they take him 1st overall. Don't care if he is the joke player drafted at the very end of the draft (ala Chad (super-douche) Kelly). Just gotta be right about him whoever he is.
ProcessTheTrust
I understand the fear of trading away too much to move up to get our guy, but recent history suggests the risk is worth the reward. Just google the Rams and Eagles trades to move up, how much they paid, and how EVERYONE laughed at the price they paid. 2 years later...

I'm not necessarily someone that wants to give up a ton of pics to move up, but to your point - Bills fans worry a lot about "what if we do that and he fails?" I'd compare it to the fans that didn't want to just squeek into the playoffs? Then when we get in and you realize this is worth it. Just get in. Historically the Bills draft QB's at a very low rate. Can't blame that on Beane and McD, obviously but I want them to fall in love with a QB and go draft him.

Allen same as Mayfield. Unless the Bills trade up, these 4 will be gone. Not advocating for that, just a fact, those 4 will be gone by the time we pick if we don't trade up.

buffaloboyinATL
I watched him play against UCLA this year and he definitely looked impressive in that game. I kept trying to figure out why he ws so far behind Rosen even though they both had great games that day. I think Ferguson will be a pro QB at some point but his game will need quite a bit of work before a team is willing to hand him the reigns. ProcessThe: The Rams traded the Titans 2017 first, two seconds, and two thirds to trade up 14 slots from #15 to #1 in 2016. That's the lowest anyone has traded to #1 We do have two firsts this year, but we're 7 slots lower The Eagles traded the Browns that year's 3rd and 4th, 2017 1st, and this year's 2nd to move up from #8 to #2 in 2016. Moreover, the Browns look kind of dumb as their QB situation is still unsettled. We are going to have to trade more to move up from #21. A lot more. I'm not saying we shouldn't, but they will need to be very sure. Consider the RGIII tradeup for an example of the negative impact on the team when it doesn't work out. And please to reflect -both teams with the top-two picks arguably need QB. So they need to be unsure enough of these guys to be willing to trade, or see other players as a better option. I'm not saying we might not be smarter than the Browns or the Giants personnel guys, but it does give one pause. 20 hours ago, BuffaloFan68 said: My current prediction for QBs to be on our roster this year: Alex Smith (via trade), Peterman (2nd string) & Mason Rudolph (draft). Just a guess haha For Peterman it seems clear just as you say. He was #2 to Worley, he's a sophomore looking ahead now he's #2 to Josh Dobbs so he looks elsewhere and the Vols release him. Ferguson left school and took a year off, then went the JC route. If they released Peterman and he transferred without a year off, what was different about Ferguson? Did they not release him (why?) Did he flunk out? And why a year off then JC, why not JC directly? I know very little about the college football scene, it just seems like there might be a story. Maybe good story (he was a better QB than Peterman, so they didn't want to let him go?) maybe bad story. Just wondering what it was. Edit: OK, I found this article. Sounds like a kid who might have gotten a bit of a grounding in real life and what it's like when things don't go your way and you don't take the best path out, then you got to work hard for what you have. If the Bills like him, I'd be good with that background.
