Less than zero chance in hell that Marcel was late for two practices in one week and McD didn't do anything about it. This is nonsense.

What? He sent Marcell home and he missed an entire game because of it. How can you say he did nothing? LMAO

I'm still trying to find out where to buy tickets to see all the Bills games in that Madden 18 simulation...

Richie chocked slammed Marcel thru the Hell in a Cell onto a bed of thumbtacks?

Thats what i heard but it was AFTER Yarborough hit marcell with a steel chair in the locker room so he wouldn't be 100% for the fight.

Huh. What I heard was Dareus was getting into Tyrod's face about not being a franchise QB. Dareus punched Tyrod who ended up with a concussion and Richie squared off to fight Dareus. Bills tried to cover it all up by playing Tyrod until he got a concussion "in the game".

I call it punchgate.

I meant, obviously, that there is no way McD wouldn't have done something serious after this alleged first missed practice. And impossible that McD would not have done something after a second alleged missed practice. So obviously this whole idea is a bunch of crap.

Mods, scrap this crap.

I think they should leave it, but change the title to include "rumor"...all too often on this site have we seen odd threads like this pop up and eventually be proven true.

Not saying this one is (or isn't); simply leaving the possibility open.

Just a rumor, but interesting. If anyone can beat some sense into Marcell, Richie's the guy to do it.

Maybe Sean, Richie and Marcell need a 30-second meeting every morning. Sean tells the big boy what to do and tells Rickie to keep an eye on him. That should do it.

I agree, Richie and Kyle need to pound some sense into Marcel. We're not paying him 100M to pretend he's Haynesworthless....figure it out Dareus and grow up...

He was much more of a hot head and inability to control his anger.

Dareus is just someone that isn't naturally motivated. I hate saying that because he's one of my favorites but I think it's the truth.

I'd rather calm a guy down than have to fire someone up.

I agree to certain extent. But RI cost his team's with stupid penalties and suspensions. He was a pretty bad dude.

Dareus smoked weed and drove too fast. He's had a million people close to him die and probs my doesn't have anyone to keep him in check. But I believe he's a good guy who just does some dumb things.

And sadly, he probably thinks of the Bills as a job and minor league after playing at Alabama.

truth spoken. he was used to playing on a winning program, respected program.

bills, a winning program?

respected, lol.

I understand your points....I hate the tragedies he's gone through.

However, this is the 3rd straight coaching staff in which he's had issues with. He was one of my favorites but not I'm losing patience with him.

...and he surprisingly turned the corner and smartened up.....so because Dareus is younger, he still has more lives left for his $100 mil?.....makes perfect sense....team doesn't mean squat..................

I think his point was he could turn it around. as for the money, thank the bills and his agent. if I'm willing to give one a pass or chance, why not the kid? wouldn't it be better if he did turn it around and racked up double digit sacks? instead of chastising him every chance you get?

I'm not writing him off just yet.

...isn't it fair to say Richie was a ONE TIME hiccup (put aside his one year previous OBD stint and going elsewhere)?.....isn't Fat Albert II a multiple offender, not only league wide for his indiscretions and punishments, but ALSO as a woefully failed teammate, a team that definitely needs him to perform to his $100 mil status?.....pass by proverbial AZZ....he is a ME slob......

You mean not counting being consistently in trouble and kicked off a couple other teams he was a one time hiccup?

...yes his past was checkered....Rams dumped him and Buffalo signed him and he bailed on Buffalo after one year....so I guess two wrongs make a right?..do not think Richie was suspended but unofficially blackballed due to Martin flap....lemme know how many passes Dareus gets in YOUR confessional......and let's put his optimum financial leverage until 2019 for his sincere "mea culpas".....they mean nothing (COUGH)....he IS a team guy after all...............

Well he was suspended for the rest of the season by the team, which was the only reason he wasn't suspended by the league. The league had to come out and say he was eligible to play before the next season but nobody would sign him. The blackball year. Then a year later Rex did.

...and did he learn his lesson to the benefit of the Buffalo Bills?....think so...so how long to you give Dareus to learn a similar lesson and FINALLY be come a Richie reformed type contributor?....keep in mind Richie had NO financial leverage that I remember...Dareus on the other hand is in the $$$$ cat bird seat until 2019...your view?

He has had behavioral issues going back to college. He was kicked out of Nebraska and kicked out of Oregon afterward. Its why he fell to the 3rd round of the draft. The Rams waived him after he went crazy during a game. Then the Miami thing went down. Dareus is a role model compared to Richie's past.

I think different players deserve different treatment. I know that sounds like it's not fair but it's the way of the world. I don't think you can win with all nice guys. I think Dareus is a great player when motivated and even McD thinks he's very motivated this year. I don't think we should consider getting rid of him at all. If he gets suspended by the league again that is when and only when I think about getting rid of him.

I know this isnt a popular view and really don't care. I still think he gets somewhat of an excuse for the 14 atrocious things that have happened in his life. No one has gone through what he has. That doesn't mean he has a free pass to do anything he wants. Not at all. but he's a unique case. I also think he was a total ass in his last interview and that was awful of him.

Story going around is Richie tried to fight Marcell because Marcell was late to 2 practices on the run up to the Baltimore game. Said Richie told Marcell not to show up at all if he's going to show up late.

Just what is going around. I have zero proof.

Thanks for the intel.

so it's the money that bugs you more than his missteps or physical being.

I don't let someone else's money, be it large or small sum, worry me none, don't need to waste my time thinking about it. life is made up of chance, he seems to have one left in the hat. he missteps, see ya. still wont give two ***** about his money or how he invests it.

Just by that last interview with Dareus I can tell his days are numbered. He never once spoke of McD as "coach " nor really accepted any blame. He was just "sorry it happened". He came across as he hasn't fully bought in.

If Dareus contract was tradeable he'd be gone. He will definetly be on the block next draft if there was a way to financially unload him. I would be surprised if he lived out his contract here and he definitely won't be resigned.

If Ritchie was at any fault he would have been disciplined. McD is that type of coach. If what the OP is reporting is true it was probably more Ritchie being a leader and standing up to Dareus attitude and the coaches stepped in and sent D him home.

I see this as a positive for Ritchie. When he said a few weeks back he's a peacemaker I believe it. But I wouldn't confuse that with someone who will back down to anyone that disrespects him or the team, even if it's a teammate.

Kind of remember Dareus calling cogs the dirtiest player in the league when Ritchie played in Myami. There has too be some bad blood there.
